I drew a fanart to 6th chapter of "The Night After". I wanted to make it a simple comics, but I kept adding new colors and details and couldn't stop myself until it was too late

"I…" Shadow Milk spoke up, his voice weak. Despite his effort to steady it, it still trembled, worn from a night that seemed to last forever. "I didn't know where else to go." Dark Enchantress betrays Shadow Milk. Forced to retreat, he goes to the last person on all of Earthbread that won't possibly turn him away while he tries to figure out how to save the only two cookies who have ever cared about him. Pure Vanilla offers his help, and Shadow Milk begrudgingly accepts. Anything to get Candy Apple and Black Sapphire out of her hands.

this entire fic was HEAVILY inspired by this tweet by @alikuarso on twt, and a BUNCH of the QRT art by @achroEgoist and @SweetStove - leg and i took the concept and ran with it. if u three happen to read this, then um, hi :3

i love worldbuilding but i think i managed to hold myself back so... get a Slightly buffed vanilla kingdom instead of an elaborate essay of headcanons and lore that explains my insanity for worldbuilding just by existing

writing pure vanilla as a completely blind character who relies on his staff to see was... so damn fun and such a good challenge. highly recommend.

a modified ship chart because i wanted to do one but i have no notps, i ship everything, and i wanted to express my qpr/alterous ships too!!

an explanation on alterous: its a term used to describe the feeling of, "i desire emotional closeness with you, and i dont care what form it takes (romantic, qpr, platonic, ect)". so for shadowvanilla, how i ship them is that they're alterous for each other, they've just chosen to interpret their relationship as romantic :3
