Hello! It has been awhile, but I am happy to type to you again! Since I’ve ended our Ko-fi and returned to work on Welcome Home, I was trying to think of a way to provide public updates on where we are in between updates for fun! So we created a segment called “A Minute with Wally.”  Please read below for more information on what's going on!

Yang Bao lore?

Ahh! My asks work! I was just fretting over that earlier. So. What do you want to know? I could give a general gist of what I’ve got so far.

Yang Bao is an Emanator of the Abundance. Gameplay wise, he’s an imaginary character that’s a HP scaling SubDPS (though I imagine he’s like Anaxa, and it’s possible for him to be a hypercarry) who can also provide party-wide healing through his burst.

Yang Bao and his brother are both Xianzhou Natives. So yippee for long life species!!

As for his backstory! Yang Bao lived on the Xianzhou Yaoqing during the same time as The High Cloud Quintent did on the Loufu (a little over 700 years before the main story, Star Calendar year 7379) but didn’t interact with them. I bring the Quintet up only to help everyone get a scope of how old he is (grandpa). He was a medic, similar to Bailu in the Xianzhou fleet’s war against Yaoshi. His brother, who is as of right now unnamed, was a Cloud Knight. During a fierce battle (the same battle in which the High Cloud Quintet first gathered to defeat the Denizens of Abundance ravaging the Xianzhou Yuque), Yang Bao’s brother went MIA. After learning of this, Yang Bao abandoned his station to find him. Slowly, Yang Bao’s mind subsided to mara corruption through his endless search for his brother. He was caught in the middle of many battles where he healed Cloud Knights. This drew the gaze of Yaoshi, and THEY turned him into THEIR emanator. Unfortunately, Yaoshi’s “blessings” are never without their downsides, and becoming THEIR emanator inflicted Yang Bao with mara. It spread to his mind rather quickly (Like Jingliu’s mara corruption) and be focuses most of his energy on continuously healing himself so he doesn’t succumb to his mara. As the years pass, Yang Bao’s memories have faltered, and he no longer remembers his brother, or a time before he was an emanator of the abundance. He merely remembers that he should be searching for SOMEONE.

In the modern day, as in, during the time that the Astral Express was on the Loufu and after they left, Yang Bao has returned to the Yaoqing. He fell unconscious in the street, where he was quickly taken care of by Jiaoqiu, who offered to take him in and search for a cure for his “illness”. Through continuous bonding time, they grow close and now they’re boyfriends.

I lowkey don’t see the chemistry between Moze and Jiaoqiu. I’ve tried, I can’t, I’m sorry if that’s your fancy but they’re not dating. Jiaoqiu has his gilf.

Ya, I got REALLY into Honkai Star Rail with the Amphoreus Update. I also watched season 2 of JJK and that enthralled me for months. I’m currently watching The Summer Hikaru Died on Netflix, though I heard the manga���s better, and I’m reading this book called “How to Sell Your Blood & Fall in Love: Guides for Dating Vampires”. Nothing has held me for as long as Welcome Home just captured me and held me captive. Just a bunch of smaller interests that come and go as opposed to my years long fixations.

More on the topic of that book, I’m only a few chapters in, but it’s really fun! I like how Clementime is just *such a nerd* and how thoughtful Justin is to his community. Obviously with a title like that, it’s a romance, a vampire romance. But yah know, such is life and when at comic con, one buys fun and interesting looking nicknacks.

What is everyone into now? I’ve been IRL for so long I almost forgot to be whimsical 🥀
