I want Qrow and the relic of destruction to have one hell of a moment.

I think it would be neat that instead of leaning into destruction with joy, the relic holds it as a burden. And to retrieve the sword from the stone you must be someone of a similar mindset. You must face the lives you’ve destroyed and your regrets.

To approach the sword is to step past and acknowledge what you’ve done. Except Qrow’s isn’t able to let himself just walk over them. Qrow’s is a ring of people laid out- many we don’t recognize but a few we do. Some people Qrow isn’t even responsible for the death of but whom he placed the blame on himself.

He makes it most of the way through before he can’t step forward towards the stone any further. He can’t bring himself to walk past them. His biggest regret, and his newest (Summer and Clover.) The visual of them laying there sears into him and he feels his semblance thrum and ache.
