I have a question- Has Onyx ever met... Well... the Ink's kids? I don't know why I'm asking this but I'm curious if he's ever had anything to do with them, if he has any kind of relationship with them.

He only knows Paperjam. If you search on my blog #paperjam you will find some work with the two of them. ^^

I really think to do cannon Paperjam gave Onyx the idea to use magic as a shield for his soul.

Sooo I wanted to celebrate the 1 year of this account with the first character I posted on this account. Onyx! :D

I gotta thank this guy for being the reason I made this account. I originally wasn't ever gonna post my utmv art (was just gonna keep it to myself), but the urge to join the Onyx Dtiys was so strong that I caved and made this side blog. I've been a fan ever since they were first created and im still a fan ^^

Does Onyx see Blue’s brother as a potential sibling or caretaker!? What about Nightmare and Dream (Maybe Blue?)

Carrot, Swap's brother, doesn't really interact much with Onyx. He was just a good kid to him. Onyx only saw him as Swap's brother. Swap was more like an uncle to him. He always knew better how to deal with him than Dream and Ink did. However, he still prefers Dream's warmth more.

He saw Dream as a parent since he had more of an impact on his growing up.

About Nightmare. Their relationship is more complex. Since Onyx is aware that Nightmare is an enemy, he began to grow attached to him, seeing that he finds safety with him, especially when he has nightmares. Nightmare also absorbs his feelings so that Onyx can focus more on training and his thoughts instead of his feelings.

Slowly, Nightmare becomes a father figure of sorts, as Onyx sometimes copies his attitude or words. Onyx has grown to see Nightmare and his team as his family.

Sooo what I’m hearing is Ink’s new broomie is Onyx’s sibling-

Did Ink ever regret what he did to Onyx? Will Onyx ever forgive him?

A kind of yes... and no. That he called Onyx useless because he had too much red paint (anger) in his system. I think Ink always drinks more red paint in battle to increase his strength in battle.

He didn't make another weapon with the intention of making Onyx feel even more useless or weak. From his perspective, he considered that he had done everyone a favor. He could finally go into battle with a powerful weapon, and Dream and Swap could raise Onyx as they best knew how. He didn't think for a moment about Onyx's feelings.

He often argued with Dream because he wanted to show Onyx to the world. He wanted to go on adventures with Onyx everywhere, he wanted to do many things with him, but Dream wanted Onyx to be ready to facing the outside world first.

But again, it was what he wanted, he doesn't really know if Onyx wanted it in the first place. But Onyx would surely have wanted to go anyway, since everything is new to him. He wants to discover everything.

Onyx doesn't hate Ink, he just dislikes him. I don't think he'll ever like him. Especially since he knows that Ink cares more about Aus than the people of Aus. He doesn't like that Ink sees them all as puppets, projects made by the Creators.

When Ink created him, Broomie was created to protect. It is in Onyx's nature to want to protect everyone, regardless of what you have done in the past.

Ink protects Aus, but he doesn't care about the people of Aus, he only violates the nature that Onyx was created for.

Sorry for asking but I’m a lot newer to your page and so I was wondering- what exactly is Onyx’s (broomie’s) story? Did he one day come to life and Ink (Dream and Blue) help raise him? Or is like his whole story still being written? I’m really sorry I’m not trying to be rude or anything I’m just very interested in his story!!

Don't worry, you're not being rude. I love yapping about him or his story.

One day, Ink left his weapon, Broomie, in Doodle Sphere, and one of the creators wanted to play a prank on Ink, so they transformed his weapon into a person. Ink, Dream, and Sweap taught him to speak, walk, and gave him clothes. (Technically, the clothes belonged to Swap's brother when he was a child. Until Ink decided what clothes to make for Broomie.

Ink wanted to take Broomie into battle, but Dream refused, not wanting Broomie to encounter the outside world, as he didn't think he was ready, so Broomie stayed locked up in the house for a while. One day, Ink took Broomie into battle with Error, and it went badly. Broomie was close to death, and Ink was furious at him for being useless. So Ink created another weapon, another Broomie.

Feeling abandoned, Broomie ran away from home and was found by Nightmare. They made a deal. Nightmare would help Broomie become stronger and prove to Ink that he was more useful than his new weapon, but only if he agreed to work for him. To be his weapon.

Broomie accepted the deal, and from that day on, he changed his name to Onyx.

I created a lot of content with Onyx as he is around his friends, family, and his lover. This is Onyx when he deals with people who don't really care about them and how he is in general sometimes.

I've had this idea about the relationship between Dream and Onyx, as well as between Nightmare and Onyx, for almost a year now, and I've never revealed it until now.

Technically, Dream had always insisted that Onyx (Broomie) not go outside to meet other monsters/humans until he was ready. Because Dream was afraid that people would treat Onyx the way the villagers treated Nightmare. Worse, they would kidnap him because he was Broomie, Ink's paintbrush.

Meanwhile, when Nightmare took Onyx on his side, he used Onyx in battles or to hurt people, whether he liked it or not. However, Nightmare didn't push things too far and gave Onyx some favors to keep his loyalty.

The sketches with Silver and Slash in the car are based on the original (On a reference). I did them from the original perspective, from the front and the back. I'm proud of how it turned out. Even if it's just a sketch.

Update for April 15th!

Hi everyone, I want to inform to everyone that I know what I will do for April 15. I have two things already prepared. I decided to do a collage and a DTIYS.

Thinking that I already made a collage for April 15th. I want to open a sort of fake collab. What I want to ask people to do is to make fanart of Onyx and Slash together, no matter what relationship you decide, platonic or romantic. It's important that the two of them are in the drawing. What I'm planning is to make a collage and I want this collage to be my banner on my Tumblr blog.
