Random headcanon: the reason that Peach and Bowser don’t seem to get a lot of respect in some Super Mario games is because the Mushroom Kingdom is kind of a rural backwater and isn’t terribly important or influential politically, so people tend to regard Bowser as a C-list villain for being so hung up on such an insignificant conquest. Nobody really expects Bowser to be a serious threat – that would be like expecting a guy whose main claim to fame is repeatedly failing to conquer Wyoming to be a serious threat – so they get taken by surprise every single time.

I still think the most devastating enshittification I've ever seen has been picrew. One of the few dress-up game websites left that's not flash-based and it's become DRENCHED in ads. You can't open the home screen without being blasted by at least three or four ads. You can't open two picrews in a row without watching a video ad first. When you have a picrew open the ads cover up the different options and sometimes even stack on each other so you have to hit like 2 or 3 different x buttons to get it to go away, only for more to appear seconds later. It’s actually so fucked how from the very beginning people have been telling Atsushi that people suffer just by being around him.

He’s constantly had to push back on that, that no no he’s not a burden or a curse on others. Even if he himself doesn’t even believe that.

And then you have the people Atsushi cares about the most “die” before his eyes. Which consumes him in so much guilt and grief that he gives up fighting.

Atsushi who would do anything to survive gives up and waits for the sword to drop.

Saying don’t worry I’ll be right there with you guys

Oh sure Atsushi had a hunch but he wasn’t entirely sure that he wasn’t going to die saving Akutagawa.

But he just couldn’t stand to watch Akutagawa die again because of him.

The State of AO3 and My Fics

Hi all!

I'm working on answering asks on here with some writing drabbles and such so apologies for the silence. I wanted to announce that sadly, since someone decided to scrap public works on ao3 that they do not own, that Yours Truly and my other Hazbin fics have been illegally uploaded to train ai models. Right now ao3 is working on getting the data deleted. Unfortunately, one of the few protections authors have against this happening again is locking their fics to ao3 users only. I don't want to do that and exclude my guest readers, but with no other protections, this is sadly what I'm going to have to do until ao3 can guarantee that this doesn't happen again.

This means you'll need an ao3 account to read my works from now on.

I'm so sorry to my guest users. I really encourage you to make an account since I know many authors who are doing this now. I love and appreciate every single person who reads, so I really apologize that I have to do this. Authors, I also encourage you to do this yourself to protect your work from being used for ai in the future. Fuck ai and fuck those who steal from creatives to train it. Sorry y'all. Someone had to go and ruin it for everyone.
