I feel like Tommy getting together with Buck instead of Eddie was definitely for the best.

(I've heard that one factor was because the actress who played Natalia wasn't available to be in the new season, but still)

Like, Buck's been on a very clear journey of self-discovery for the entire run of the show. He's trying to figure out who he is and what he wants out of life. And like Oliver has mentioned, he has seemed to have a lot of subtle connections to other queer side characters, hinting that maybe that may be a piece of himself he's been missing/denying.

Eddie's never really had that, aside from the connection to Buck. He's always been more sure about who he is, maybe not what he wants in his relationships, but he hasn't seemed to be searching as much as Buck has.

It just feels more organic to me that Buck would come out this way and have this revelation of self-discovery, and be with Tommy, than if it were to happen to Eddie.
