Dera (Predecist Place of Worship)
A dera (/dɛra/ ᴅᴀɪʀ-ᴀʜ), (pl: deri, /dɛri/ ᴅᴀɪʀ-ᴇᴇ), is a type of composite structure used for religious and spiritual worship. Deri are commonly found in Rybaria, but can also be found across the Maukraha (northern continent).
Deri are characterized as having brick walls extended from a natural cave opening and a covering made of foliage and vines. Between the walls, there is a type of rock fountain-basin called slavomisa (‘freshwater-bowl’) that is used for purification in rituals. The murals featured on a dera's walls commonly depict local folk figures, important spiritual beings, relatives or friends who have passed away, and deities.
These structures are protected under the International Sanctity Act (1206), which ensures religious and spiritual structures are secured. This means the destruction or damage of these structures, especially regarding prejudice against the people and their beliefs, is given repairment funding by their respective state governments.

Predecism - folk religion of Rybaria
A fictional religion for my worldbuilding project, Grimlight!
Predecism (/ˈpɹɛdɛˌsɪzm̩/, ᴘʀᴇ-ᴅᴇ-ꜱɪᴢᴍ), also known as Předotesmus (/ˈpr̝̊ɛdotɛsmus/), is a term referring to the collection of Rybarian folk religions that center on ancestral veneration. These religions are grouped together based on their belief in hora, the spiritual essence of the universe that is experienced through righteous living. This is performed through the worship of deceased ancestors and, in certain religions, deities or other spirits. Commonly, these religions share similar beliefs, mythologies, practices, cultural values, traditions, philosophies, and texts. People who are part of these religions are called predecists.

How unbelievably sad it is to have a connection with someone for any period of time only to become strangers again.
