For our final study tour, we had the opportunity to visit Splendid, a brand known for its elevated basics, California-inspired comfort, and effortless style. What made this visit especially exciting was learning that Splendid is owned by Delta Galil, a global powerhouse in the apparel industry that owns and operates numerous brands and manufactures for some of the most recognized names in fashion.
This was by far one of the most informative and inspiring tours of our entire experience. The energy in the office was welcoming and creative, and we heard several incredible success stories from young professionals who had entered the industry through internships—just like us. It was reassuring and motivating to see how quickly hard work and passion can pay off. One of the highlights was meeting a Kent State alum currently working there, which made the experience feel even more personal and attainable.
We explored multiple showrooms, each one carefully curated and styled to reflect upcoming seasonal launches. We even got an exclusive sneak peek at pieces from the new collection—something most people never get to see before it hits the market.
Delta Galil’s influence was evident throughout. Their vertically integrated model, commitment to innovation, and focus on sustainability were especially impressive. They’re not just a parent company—they’re a driving force behind the growth and strategy of the brands they support, including Splendid. It was a perfect way to wrap up our study tour series, leaving us inspired and excited for what’s next.

This week, I had the amazing opportunity to visit Majesty Brands—and wow, it did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a VIP experience. They greeted us with snacks and water (which instantly won me over), and we dove straight into a behind-the-scenes tour of their showrooms.
While I can't share as many photos from this visit (some of the products we saw haven’t been released yet), I can say that the space was beautifully curated and full of innovation. You could feel the creativity in the air.
We were lucky to hear from two incredible presenters who were both so kind and informative. They gave us insight into Majesty’s unique brand philosophy and product development process—focusing on everything from premium hosiery and legwear to cutting-edge private label and licensed products.
Majesty Brands is truly dedicated to blending performance, comfort, and style. Their mission to inspire confidence through design definitely came through loud and clear during our visit.
Can’t wait to see some of the unreleased items hit the shelves soon!

This week I had the chance to visit Urban Outfitters and their sister store, ReClectic, it was such a fun experience. I’ve always loved exploring Urban Outfitters. It has the perfect mix of trendy and nostalgic, I feel like there’s always something new to find whether it’s fashion, home, or random little gifts. But what really stood out to me this time was checking out ReClectic. It’s their curated vintage and secondhand concept, and it has such a cool vibe. Everything felt super unique.
What made the trip even better was the price variety between the two stores. Urban has a mix of higher-end trend pieces and more affordable basics, while ReClectic really leaned into budget-friendly finds without sacrificing style. As a college student constantly trying to look cute without draining my bank account, that’s a huge win. I actually ended up making a couple of purchases I’m really excited about.
The contrast between Urban and ReClectic was actually refreshing. While Urban Outfitters has built its identity on staying ahead of the curve with edgy, youth-driven trends, ReClectic felt like a more sustainable, laid-back approach to shopping more one-of-a-kind, less mass-produced. I think the balance between the two stores gives shoppers way more freedom to express themselves and shop how they want, whether that’s splurging on a statement piece or snagging a vintage gem. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

This week, I had the incredible opportunity to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art (the MET), and wow, what an experience! It was definitely one of my favorite study tours so far. The MET is world-renowned, if you're not familiar with it, let me fill you in: it’s one of the largest and most prestigious art museums, with over two million pieces of art, ranging from ancient times to present day.
My favorite part of the MET has always been the statues. I’ve never gone first thing in the morning before, but this time, I got there early, it was a completely different vibe. The way the sunlight streamed in through the windows and highlighted the statues made them feel almost otherworldly like they were alive. As you can see in the photo above, the lighting throughout the museum at that time was absolutely magical and really brought out the beauty of every piece.
If you ever get the chance, I would 100% recommend visiting the MET. It’s a place everyone should experience at least once in their life. The art, the atmosphere, and the sheer scale of it all are something that stays with you long after you leave.

Another place I had the opportunity to visit this week was The Museum at FIT, I’m so glad we made the last-minute decision to go. The museum is known for its incredible exhibitions that explore fashion history, innovation, and cultural impact, and the current exhibit, "Fashioning Wonder: A Cabinet of Curiosities," was absolutely mesmerizing.
The exhibit is inspired by the historic concept of a "cabinet of curiosities," where collectors would display rare and extraordinary objects. This theme translated beautifully into the exhibition, which showcased garments and accessories that embodied elements of fantasy, illusion, and spectacle. The collection featured everything from surreal silhouettes to intricate embellishments, all emphasizing fashion’s ability to captivate and surprise.
Of all the stunning pieces on display, my favorites were definitely the Jean Paul Gaultier designs. His work has always fascinated me with its avant-garde approach and ability to push boundaries, and seeing his creations up close was an unforgettable experience. The level of craftsmanship and creativity in his designs is truly unmatched. I've included pictures of some of the pieces that stood out to me the most.

This week, I visited Aritzia at Hudson Yards. We arrived just as the store was opening, which meant we practically got a private tour of the space. The layout was sleek and inviting, and I was able to take my time exploring everything without the usual crowds. Even though I’ve been familiar with Aritzia for a while, I was surprised by how much I learned about the brand during my visit.
Aritzia has always been known for offering some of the best basics, but seeing the collection up close gave me an even deeper appreciation for their craftsmanship and attention to detail. Their pieces are effortlessly chic, blending high-quality materials with modern silhouettes that make putting together an outfit almost too easy. While browsing, I ended up finding the perfect dress for my brother’s graduation, a timeless piece that I know I’ll wear beyond just that day.
One of the things I love most about Aritzia is its versatility. Whether you’re looking for flowy silk midi dresses, structured blazers, or elevated everyday essentials, they have something for everyone. Their color palettes are always on point, offering a mix of soft neutrals and bold statement hues that can seamlessly transition between seasons. If you’re shopping for a spring wardrobe refresh, Aritzia should be at the top of your list. The combination of effortless elegance and quality craftsmanship makes their pieces worth every penny.

I finally made it to the Harry Potter Store in NYC, and let me tell you this place is truly MAGICAL. Dangerous for my wallet! fully-immersed-in-the-Wizarding-World magical. If you know me, you know I’m a HUGE Harry Potter fan, so walking into this store felt like stepping straight into the books.
First off, the decor, Insane. Floating candles, house banners, a Fawkes animatronic. They even have a full-scale Butterbeer bar.
The merch selection is great. They have everything from house robes and wands to actual chocolate frogs. I probably spent way too long just staring at the wand wall, trying to decide if I should buy one. They also have an entire section dedicated to the Dark Arts, which made my little Slytherin heart very happy.
If you’re even remotely a Harry Potter fan and find yourself in NYC, GO. It’s worth it. Just prepare to leave with less money and more merch than you planned. No regrets. ⚡✨

This week, I had the opportunity to visit Cotton Incorporated, and it was an incredibly insightful experience. The tour was well-structured and highly informative, providing a deep dive into the company’s role in the cotton industry. We attended a detailed presentation that covered everything from cotton research and sustainability initiatives to marketing strategies and global impact.
One of the most fascinating aspects of the visit was learning about the career opportunities within the company. Many employees travel internationally as part of their work, which is something that really appeals to me. The combination of innovation, sustainability, and global outreach makes Cotton Incorporated a company I could see myself working for in the future.
Overall, this visit exceeded my expectations. I gained valuable knowledge about the industry and left feeling inspired. After I graduate, I will definitely be reaching out to explore potential career opportunities with them. 10/10 experience!

This week, we had a guest speaker from Nordstrom. Personally, I prefer study tours where we meet people in person, but I appreciated the opportunity to connect virtually since our speaker works entirely remotely. It was fascinating to learn about the challenges of collaborating with coworkers online. She provided valuable tips into remote work, which I found especially helpful since I have never worked fully remotely before. Before this meeting, I assumed career advancement in a fully remote position would be limited, but after asking her about it, I was surprised to learn that opportunities for growth function much like they do in an office setting. This experience has shifted my perspective, and I am now more open to considering fully remote positions when applying for jobs.

This week, I had the super exciting opportunity to visit the COTERIE New York trade show as a guest. This is a major fashion trade show where brands and designers showcase their latest collections to buyers, retailers, and industry professionals. It’s all about making connections with the right audience, from luxury to contemporary fashion. The event helps businesses discover new trends, network, and secure wholesale deals, making it an important place for fashion insiders to stay ahead.
I enjoyed it so much, definitely one of my favorite study tours thus far. It was like nothing I have ever experienced. We met the owner of Mrs. Momma Bear, a luxury business wear brand where all the professional pieces are made from athletic material, making them more comfortable. It was so cool learning about why she created the brand and the details behind it. She even gave me a tote bag and a free sweatshirt she truly went above and beyond!
All of the other brands I met were super cool as well. I would definitely recommend going and would love to have the opportunity to attend again!

This week I researched the New York Embroidery Studio.I  have to say I’m obsessed. NYES is a full service surface design studio and manufacturing facility They push the boundaries of creativity. Based in the Garment District, they offer everything from embroidery and embellishments to laser cutting and 3D printing, making them a hot spot for both independent designers and major brands.
What really stood out to me is their commitment to American labor and garment manufacturing, thanks to funding from the CFDA’s Fashion Manufacturing Initiative (FMI). It’s nice to see a company keeping craftsmanship alive in NYC while also offering global production options through partners. Also, they have no minimums, which means they support both small and large production runs, something that I believe is pretty rare in the industry today.
Beyond their technical capabilities, NYES is built on a foundation of originality, which is exactly the kind of energy I want to be around. I’m really hoping I’ll get the chance to visit their studio soon. Seeing their process firsthand would be an incredible experience!

This week, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit The Museum of Broadway, thanks to Kent State University. I really enjoyed every room and was engaged throughout the entire experience. My favorite room was definitely the first one, which I believe was titled the Ziegfeld Room I believe. I honestly loved it because it was pink. Pictured above, you can see how cute and frilly it was. I also loved the costumes on display, the detail was absolutely amazing. It was very cool to be able to see them up close.
I wanted to give a special shoutout to Alex. He was kind of like our tour guide. He is an employee at the museum and walked us through almost everything. He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to Broadway, and his passion made the experience even better. I really appreciate how much he enjoys his job and how happy he was to inform me and my fellow classmates about the history of Broadway.
If anyone is looking for something to do that truly showcases the heart of New York’s history, I definitely recommend The Museum of Broadway.

This week, I had the great opportunity to visit M&S Schmalberg, it was an amazing experience. Walking into you could immediately sense the history and craftsmanship that has defined this family-owned business for over a century. Learning about their handmade flowers was fascinating, especially now since so few things are still completely handmade.
One of the highlights of the visit was seeing the step-by-step process of how these beautiful flowers are made. Every petal, every bloom is carefully shaped and assembled by hand, ensuring a unique and high-quality product. It was a rare and refreshing sight in today’s fast-paced, mass-produced fashion world. The level of detail and precision that goes into each piece is truly incredible.
Another part of the tour that made it even more special was the opportunity to take home some different petals and create our own pieces. This added a personal touch to the experience, allowing us to appreciate the craftsmanship on an even deeper level. Being able to work with these materials firsthand really emphasized the artistry and dedication that goes into every single flower.
Overall, my visit to M&S Schmalberg was a 10/10 experience. It was inspiring to see a company that has stayed true to its craft and continues to produce high-quality, handmade pieces in New York City. I would recommend a visit to anyone interested in fashion, craftsmanship, or just looking for a unique experience.

This week, I visited the Dover Street Market for the first time, I wasn’t sure what to expect going in. Right away we were greeted with very cool displays. Each floor had very knowledgeable associates who really understood the products and could answer lots of questions, which was impressive. The store featured a lot of unique displays from many designers, each bringing something unique to the table. I also loved how art and displays were incorporated into the space they were thought-provoking and added an extra layer to the experience.
Out of everything I saw, my favorite was definitely the Jacquemus displays on the fourth floor. I liked how simple the displays were and how clean they looked, they felt the most aesthetically pleasing to me personally. Every floor had a distinct layout that reflected the identity of each brand, this made going through the store feel like moving through different creative worlds.
I would absolutely give the Dover Street Market a 10/10 and highly recommend it to anyone. I’m already looking forward to going back. Maybe I’ll even do some shopping next time!
