the background colors meant something hehe

red symbolizes both revenge and courage (laurens), purple represents arrogance (lee), and blue and yellow are common stage light colors in hamilton, with blue usually representing burr and yellow usually representing hamilton. though, sometimes the colors alternate, which is why those two colors blend in the middle

also, laurens has his finger on the trigger and lee doesn't, symbolizing how laurens wins the duel

also i drew charles lee kinda manic looking because that's how jj plays him hehe
