I made this blog for LGBT+ autistics to discuss and share neurodivergency and sexuality headcanons about characters! Anyone can follow, you don't have to be autistic/LGBT, but please don't send headcanons in unless you are.
Don't wanna be here? Send us removal request.

In this adaptation, I plan on making Holmes canonically trans and autistic, so I figured I’d share it here if anyone’s interested.
ATTENTION ALL SHERLOCK HOLMES FANS
Hi guys! So, I know we all love Holmes and Watson and their relationship. And I know that we are all…incredibly disappointed. And I know that we all say that we can tell our own stories better. Well, then, let’s do it.
I’ve been doing fanbased film work for a few years now. You can see some of it with some of the people I work with on @the-real-sherlocks. (This project wouldn’t be from that group, but I just want you to see what I’ve already done so you know I’m dead serious.) The videos include “Superwholock the Musical” which was the first thing that we did and we had no idea what we were doing so it’s objectively terrible. We kept doing projects until we improved enough to make our most recent film, “Romeo and Julian,” a modern queer adaptation of the time-old play. I’ve learned so much about filmmaking, and I have friends who can do some amazing cinematography. Plus, I’d be counting on getting help from you guys.
Again, I’m going to clarify that I am 100% serious about this. I’m dedicated and willing, if I can just get some help.
Firstly, I need a few writers. This is going to be a hard job, we’re going to need to work together. No age requirements or location requirements. Thanks to the wonder of the Internet, we can write together wherever we are. Message me if you’re interested.
Second, I also need some people who have also had experience in film. You can have taken classes, done it professionally, or just have an interest in it. Again, message me if you’re interested.
Unfortunately, cast and on-set crew are going to need to live in California, either in the Sacramento area or willing to make the journey here. Or, if you have other suggestions about how to make travel work to somewhere else where it might be easier to get everyone together, let me know. I’m flexible and willing to compromise. Next year I will be living in Maine, so I don’t know if that would make things easier or harder. Or, I don’t have to be present for any/all of the filming. I would be perfectly fine with just arranging everything and getting organized and writing.
And again, I just want to make sure that you know that I’m serious about this. Let’s take ACD’s stories and turn them into the modern adaptation we all truly want. Please message me if you’re interested in helping.
One person alone couldn’t do this, but it’s like Stone Soup. One person in the village couldn’t make it, but if all of the materials and talents of all of us in this community can be brought together, we can make something magical and beautiful and more than the sum of its parts.
Thank you. Message me at @clarehope128 or shoot me an email at [email protected]. I love you, and I can’t wait to start working with you.

spENCER REID
A small, mostly fluffy fic about autistic Garcia and Reid! See my headcanons for them here. This is very self-indulgent and I want these stim toys so bad…
“Hey, baby genius? Where are you?” asked Garcia concernedly. “I’ve been calling and calling.”
“Hey, Penelope,” mumbled Reid. “Sorry. What’s up?”
Garcia breathed a sigh of relief. “There you are. You okay, lovely? You’ve been acting weird the past few days.”
“I’m okay,” Reid said unconvincingly.
“Uh-huh, sweetheart. Can I come over?” asked Penelope.
Obviously trying not to sound too eager, Reid said, “I guess.”
“Uh-huh. Be right there, my love. Oh, it might take me a little while, I’m gonna pick some stuff up on my way. See you soon!” Garcia blew a kiss over the phone and hung up. She had been wanting an excuse to give Reid some things she had made for him. Of course, she didn’t need an excuse, but he wouldn’t feel so embarrassed if she had one.
When Garcia arrived at Spencer’s door with a bag of stuff, she was not expecting him to answer the door looking an absolute mess with a robe thrown over his normal clothes and his hair all over the place. “Hi,” he greeted.
“Hi!” she responded, over her initial shock. She held up the bag. “I come bearing gifts.”
He ushered her inside. There were disorganized piles of books on the table and floor. “Sorry, I’ve been trying to alphabetize my books, but I keep changing my mind about whether I want to sort by genre, subject, or just by author’s last name. I even thought about implementing the Dewey Decimal system, or coming up with another one of my own code systems, but I want it to be a little easier for someone else to navigate just in case. I just felt like I need a bit of a change.”
“I get it.” Garcia nudged a stack of books over so she could sit down on the couch. “Don’t you want to see what I brought?”
Spencer blinked a few times, realizing that he hadn’t even acknowledged that she had brought him something. “Oh! Yeah, of course. Sorry. What’s in the bag?”
Penelope patted the couch next to her and Spencer sat down. “Take a look. Okay, so, this…” She pulled a small yellow crocheted ball with several yarns dangling off it. “This was supposed to look like the sun but it’s kind of sad now because the yarn all droops.”
Spencer took it and examined it. “You made this?” he asked.
“Yes, I did, mon ami, and that is not nearly all. I made you a stim toy for each and every one of the planets, as well as other spacey things I know you love.” Garcia looked at him anxiously. “I hope that was okay?”
Reid was smiling. “That’s amazing,” he exclaimed, twirling the little sun around. “Thank you so much.”
Grinning, Penelope rummaged through the bag and pulled out a small, smooth, painted rubber bouncy ball. “Mercury,” she announced. “I don’t know what your favorite kinds of stim toys are so I kind of just made all of them. Here’s Venus, it’s super soft fleece on the outside but the inside is hard plastic. Earth is one of these squishy stress balls. Mars is solid wood, and it’s got little dimples all over it, it’s really nice to hold. Jupiter…” She pulled out a large, plush sphere. “Is honestly just to hug. I have no excuse, but you’re gonna have to let me borrow it occasionally. Saturn’s ring spins! Uranus is a puzzle ball. Neptune can either be put in the freezer or the microwave if you want it to have a specific temperature, and Pluto is on a string, you can wear it as a necklace or hang it from something and spin it, or just hold it, and it’s safe to put in your mouth.”
Reid looked almost overwhelmed by all the gifts. “Where did you even get this idea?” he asked, rolling Mars around between his fingers.
“Well, funny you should ask. I was actually making them for myself, and I started with just the sun, except it wasn’t originally the sun, it was just a little yarn ball, but the only yarn I could find was yellow, so it ended up being the sun! And then I thought, well, baby boy genius would love a set of astronomy fidgets. And I kind of got carried away,” she admitted.
“I can…I can tell.” Spencer couldn’t stop smiling. “I never really have these kinds of things.”
“Us neurodivergents have to stick together, right?” Garcia hugged the big plush Jupiter to her chest.
“Right,” agreed Reid.
“So, what’s been going on with you?” asked Garcia. “You were doing better and then…”
“I miss her,” Reid said simply. “I know it’s been months. But I miss her.”
Garcia looked sad. “I know. She offered him her hand, and he took it and squeezed. “Can I help? You want to watch a movie or something?”
“My TV isn’t working,” admitted Reid. “Sorry.”
“I’ll fix it,” Garcia said instantly. She sprang up and, avoiding the stacks of books on the floor, went over to the TV. Another pile of books sat on top of the old, boxy TV. She shook her head and moved the stack. “Okay, let’s see what’s up in here,” she mumbled, poking at the buttons.
“I’ve tried that,” Reid said absently, spinning Saturn.
“Ah, yes, but you must not have the magic…” Garcia shook the TV slightly and pushed the on-button. “Touch!” she finished triumphantly as it turned on.
“How did you do that?” Reid exclaimed, leaning forward intently.
Garcia stood up and took a bow. “I told you. I have the magic touch! Okay, what do you want to watch?”
Reid shrugged. “You pick.”
Garcia began clicking through the channels as she went back to sit next to Reid. “Ooh! Look what’s on BBC America,” she announced.
Reid’s eyes lit up. “Oh! The Hand of Fear, classic Doctor Who, Fourth Doctor played by Tom Baker. It was Elisabeth Sladen’s final episode as Sarah Jane as a regular companion. I love this episode!”
Garcia smiled. “Me too. Wanna watch?”
“Absolutely,” Reid affirmed.
He and Garcia spent several hours sitting on the couch there and playing with the stim planets while a continuous marathon of classic Doctor Who running in the background. Reid talked almost constantly, relating facts and anecdotes about the filming, or the actors, or the writers. Penelope knew quite a bit of it, but she didn’t mind. It was making her baby genius happy, and that was all she needed at the moment.
Eventually, the marathon ended and another, less interesting show came on. Penelope could tell that Spencer was tired, so she turned the TV off.

Before the Stardust
(sci-fi/adventure, rating: T) Early 22nd century, the start of the first human expansion into the galaxy. Small teams of self-employed space explorers fly around the Milky Way to discover planets suitable for colonization. The laws are fresh and confusing, and the human society is struggling to preserve its identity in times of profound changes. What a great time to be autistic…

This is a novel that I’m writing right now! It’s a work in progress, there are only seven chapters posted, but I try to update as frequently as possible. There’s not enough good canon autistic characters out there, especially in books, and especially written by actually autistic writers, so I’m doing my part to try and fix it. The protagonist is autistic and there are several LGBTQ+ characters (I won’t say which ones cause that’s spoilers). I hope you will like it.
(I’ll appreciate any reviews - this is my first major work and English is not my native language)

SPENCER REID
Spencer Reid had always known he was different. He remembered things other kids didn’t, acted in ways other kids thought were weird. At first, he didn’t mind. He liked being different and unique. And he loved the words that eventually came along to describe his differences. Eidedic memory. Special. Genius. Autistic.
Later, he realized he was also a little different in another way. He was bisexual. When he figured this out, though, he was about thirteen and almost done with high school. There was nobody he could talk to about it, because he was small and timid and didn’t really have friends, and also if word got out that the scrawny weird kid wasn’t straight, well, that would just be another level of hell for him.
Everything about him was out of the ordinary. That wouldn’t be so bad, but it seemed like the rest of the world just hated him for it.Until, that is, he found a new family with the BAU team. He was still scared to show any of himself other than the spurts of information, and he really did try to only say things relevant to the case they were working on.
His team, his new family, really did try, but they mostly didn’t really understand what was going on with him. Sure, they loved him and they tried to help, but he never explained what was happening when he had shutdowns or overloads. And those happen a lot, especially in unfamiliar places and out in the field, which of course was where he spent most of his time.
Spencer can memorize information about anything, of course, but his real special interests, the one that makes him really happy, are higher mathematics, classic literature, and philosophy. And he has more specific, niche special interests like Doctor Who.
Moving on to Spencer’s stims, boy, does he love to rock. He also likes touching soft things. Unbeknownst to his teammates, he almost always has a soft, fluffy stim toy in his pocket. Also, sometimes it’s really tempting to reach out and just kind of pet his teammates’ hair. Especially JJ’s…What, it looks really soft and smooth, okay? And it’s not like he’d ever do it. Well. Not without asking. And he stims with his hands almost constantly, when he talks or even when he’s just listening to someone. And he has some default facial expressions, almost tics, including poking his tongue out just a little, pulling one side of his mouth to the side, and moving his eyebrows.
Loud noises that are too high or low pitched send him into overload very quickly, as do flashing lights. Often, he can delay the onset of an overload and shutdown until he’s out of danger and out of the field. That’s why he often likes to disappear for a little while after the end of a case. He just finds a quiet, dark place to sit and breathe for a few minutes before going back out and seeing his family again. That always makes him feel better, anyway.
(As you might have seen, I have yet another Spencer Reid sitting in my inbox. You’ll get the short fic sometime tomorrow! Hope you liked this! I love Spencer Reid so much, it’s not even funny, like I genuinely just have so much affection towards him. It’s a bit worrisome. He’s my smol autistic bisexual son and I just Love Him so much. I could talk about him for pages and pages and I’m literally currently working on a full list of all my evidence for him being autistic, with video clips and gifs and quotes and all. So…look forward to that at some point! And please do send in all your own headcanons as well! Just because these are mine doesn’t mean you can’t have your own. <3 ~Clare)

Okay...I have decided that the first request of a character that I get receives just the normal headcanon post. The second, third, fourth, etc. all get a small fic about that character and their identity. BUT I'm not going to accept spamming of a character multiple times from one person. Also, you guys can write stuff and submit it, too... ❤💛💚💙💜 ~Clare
