I like aliens with weird gender/sex and roles in the DBZ series

This post is mostly about their biological sex (but I have a lots of lgbt+ headcanons for certain characters and OCs)

Mortal races:

Namekians/Namekkuseijin/Space slugs - hermaphrodites, can reproduce sexually or self-fertilize and create a clone if necessary, and they birth eggs from their heads and stretch their bodies…like slugs!

Hera-seijin/Space Elves: male and female, but woman is shown to be as badass as her male counterparts (movies only)

Saiyans/Saiyajin/Vegetable monkeys - male and female, women are as big, gnarly, muscular and strong as men (this is for REAL, U7 Saiyans not lolicon fanservice from U6)

Tech-Tech: male and female, with females who look like their male counterparts, they don’t resemble Earthling women which is good

Jaco’s race: male and female, with females indistinguishable from males, Jaco’s friend couldn’t tell the difference. (Though I really want to know how do they make babies? Jaco is always naked and pees from his head…)

Frieza’s race/Cold-blooded Lizards: male and female, Frieza’s sex is confirmed to be male, and it’s been pretty much confirmed by Toriyama that they can reproduce sexually - Cold and Frieza are strong because of hybrid’s genes (hybrid power before it was cool, sorry Gohan, Goten and Trunks) and Frieza says he had parents (pl) in the manga, other than that we don’t know much about their species in canon…

(I always thought they were hermaphrodites or able to change their sex via transforming, but the whole “they are just like lizards” theory makes sense because it is in Toriyama’s style, he uses real life animals inspiration for his species and characters. A lot of people like the idea from DBXenoverse (not canon) where there are male and female of Frieza’s race with females who are indistinguishable from males - like Tech-Tech and Jaco’s races. (And my personal headcanon is that the females of this race can reproduce sexually AND asexually (cloning) if they want to, similar to New Mexico’s Lesbian lizards irl. I wish I could draw I’d definitely make my own lesbian OC family))

Octos/Octopus: Everyone’s an alien octopus or squid!! We don’t know if they’re hermaphrodites or have separate genders, they’re most likely same as octopus in real life. I’ve noticed Toriyama uses animals for inspiration to create his mortal races.

Arlian/Insects: male and female, insect people with girls who look like a beautiful butterfly ( filler only)

Burter’s race: male and female, Burter has a mom, unfortunately  she does not appear in the series, wonder what she looks like

Offworlder races:

Kaios/Shinjin: genderless, asexual, they born from magic fruits of the world tree, but some Kaios identify as male or female 

Majin/Bubblegum race: genderless and reproduce asexually - They reproduce by splitting into two different copies or tear many pieces from various parts of their bodies and mix them together, the ‘child’ then molds its flesh into desired shape. Most Majin reshape their bodies to resemble humans because they are born on Earth. And some identify as male or female - again - to copy humans. (this isn’t canon, this is from DBO and XV games, in canon there’s only 1 Majin and “race of Majins” doesn’t exist I just included it because I thought it was interesting)

Offworlder races are usually magical and genderless and asexual while aliens are super weird and gay.

This is what I like about old school DBZ world(universe)building -we got to see different species and their dimorphism, roles etc different from stereotypical humans.

hey yall

im startin up this here blog to help spread positivity and awareness for lgbt headcanons, theories, and the like regarding the db universe. dragon ball has a distinct lack of lgbt representation and i think its high time we did something to help rectify this. itd be awesome if u friends could share with this blog here anything lgbt and db related. thanks!
