Welcome to the LGBTKpop Network!
This is a network centered around LGBTQ+ positivity across Kpop fandoms. With all the hate in the world, including the lack of progressiveness on this topic in Asia, it is important that a safe and welcoming space is provided for LGBTQ+ fans to stand (or rather blog) in unity.
So what does the network, and it’s members do? The LGBTKpop Network has an advisor board. These members are responsible for a) reblogging LGBTQ+ (Kpop) posts to the network page. b) Responding to Advice Asks regarding their designated position c) Participating in net assignments and taking requests in specific content areas as well as d) Giving their input in coordinating network events and decisions.
Aside from it’s Advisor Board, LGBTKpop has regular members. Regular members have the option to participate in net projects and events, apply as a chat member to meet fellow LGBTQ+ fans and possibly participate in a pen-pal system, post original content under the tag #LGBTKpop, as well as gain new followers!
The LGBTKpop ask box is open to anyone and everyone! The Advisors will take requests and give advice whether the blog is a net member or not. We encourage non-member interactions!
Application Rules
1. Follow @lgbtkpop
2. Reblog this post and tag @ 1-3 blogs you think would be interested
3. Advisor apps are currently Open and application forms are here

Congratulations Kim Hansol!
The LGBTQ+ Community opens it’s arms for idol Kim Hansol, member of boy group ToppDogg, who came out as Asexual today while live on instagram! (x)
It fills the hearts of LGBTQ+ Kpop fans with hope and warmth to see an idol being so open, especially within his industry.
Of course with the positive comes the negative. There is still a great stigma, amongst even LGBTQ+ individuals themselves surrounding asexuality. Which is why it’s consistently important for aces and ace-allies to come together and show their support!
The Ace Advisor position is still accepting applications here at LGBTKPOP! All applications are currently open, but we’re lacking in Ace apps especially! If you’re a k-pop fan and looking for a LGBTQ+ Friendly space, the welcome post can be found here.
In the face of hate, love (whether romantic or not) is our most powerful weapon. Thank you Kim Hansol for sharing your truth.

Wait wait quick rundown on asexuality for any topp dogg fans that don’t know about it
Asexuality (often shortened to ace) is when you don’t feel sexual attraction. It does NOT equal romantic attraction, bc ace people can still fall in love with stuff. Not having romantic attraction is called aromanticism and is different.
There’s a whole spectrum of asexuality including lithsexual, gray-ace, and demi, which can be a little confusing and I won’t go in depth with right now. But many ppl will just say ace for the simplicity.
Attraction =/= libido. Ace ppl can still have sex, if they want. Some enjoy it. They just don’t feel sexual ATTRACTION towards people. However, some ace people are sex repulsed and don’t want sex.
Ace people are often considered part of the LGBT+ community so Hansol coming out is actually HUGE. However, be aware there’s a whole lot of discourse on Tumblr about it and a lot of aphobes and exclusionists (ppl who don’t think ace ppl belong in the community). If any of them find out about this and act shitty, don’t give them a platform
Hansol coming out as ace is HUGE thing though. Please be respectful to him about this and just show him love and support! Any other questions, just ask me!
EDIT: please reblog this because there are a lot of misconceptions and stuff on asexuality and I want people to know!

So Toppdogg’s Hansol has come out as Asexual and i just want to say how proud of him i am!   It’s so terrifying and incredibly scary to come out and im so glad that he is comfortable enough with himself to tell his fans & the public he is asexual, I wish nothing but love and support for him from international fans and korean fans.   I hope him coming out shuts up homophobes who act like all idols are straight and also encourages other idols to come out as whatever they identify as and shows them that being who they are is ok!
