A while back, I was hired by Simon & Schuster to do a book cover for a Cassandra Clare novel and my brain about exploded.  Today I can finally reveal that book cover to the world! The top image is the front after the type was laid out on it and the bottom is the full wrap-around jacket art that I turned into the art director (Russell Gordon) without the text. Russell was such a pleasure to work with and I cannot thank him enough for this opportunity!! The Red Scrolls of Magic will officially be published and available for purchase in April of 2019.

This magazine cover I did for the Philadelphia Greenworks initiative came out early this February!  Greenworks is an initiative by the Mayor’s Office of Philadelphia to make the city a greener, more sustainable place to live. My illustration shows all the ways that it’s citizens can contribute to that cause in their daily lives...throwing away litter, riding their bikes to work, using public transportation, growing rooftop gardens, etc.  A big thank you to WFGD studios for hiring me for this job!!

I think now that January is over, it’s hopefully safe to post this! This is an illustration I did for Owlcrate’s January 2018 box themed around “Fearsome Fairytales”. Thank you to everyone who tagged me in their unboxings this month! I hope you all liked your prints!

What better way to wrap up 2017 and kick off 2018 than by doing these to-do-list/calendar illustrations for Minnesota Monthly magazine! Doing the cover was a blast, but obviously my favorite month to do was September cuz Renn Faire knights!!

No matter how much other art I do, my Dad has still always said that the above image (done in kindergarten) is his favorite piece I’ve ever made.  I figured this Christmas I better give him an updated version:)

Had to make a piece showing one of the four seasons for Eastern PA’s SCBWI Illustrator Day coming up in September. I chose summer, and summer to me is all about sunbathing on a mushroom with your good ol’ caterpillar buddy:)

My cousin (who is expecting a baby this fall!:D) is planning on having a Peter Rabbit/Beatrix Potter themed nursery so she commissioned this piece from me! It was sooo much fun to work on it, and I loved getting to create it even more once I researched Beatrix Potter a little bit and found out she’s my NEW HERO. Beatrix Potter forever!!!

I’m pretty excited to announce that this month’s issue of The Progressive Magazine features my illustration on the cover! The main story is about how oil drilling and pipelines on land immediately adjacent to Theodore Roosevelt National Park is ruining the beautiful vistas and destroying the appearance of untouched natural beauty that the National Park Services were meant to preserve.

Here’s a commissioned piece I just finished for my cousin.  I love drawing woodland scenes so much. You can pack so many little things into them...different animals and plants and colors and textures.  It’s so fun! Hopefully, that fun came through in the final project:)

Another illustration for The Boston Globe Magazine (their March 26th issue).  This one is about how some people write their story on their body with tattoos the way others might keep a journal on paper.  Thought it was a pretty cool article! Thank you to art director Tam Duong for pulling me onto this project!

This is a piece I did recently for Virginia Living magazine about creating your own little patio garden. Once spring arrives, I’m definitely going to try and apply the gardening knowledge I picked up while working on this! Also the magazine did a little feature on me which is pretty cool:)
