#Repost @p31obs with @repostapp ・・・ Did you know you could join an #UninvitedBook small group? . Meet Sarah Goode. We thought we would share a bit of how small groups impacted her life... . Sarah was already a busy woman. She was a teacher and had lots of friends, but she found herself looking for more. She had participated in some of our Online Bible Studies, but never really knew anyone else participating in the studies and didn't see the need to join a small group. . One day as Sarah scrolled through Instagram, she saw a post about an upcoming P31 OBS retreat and felt God prompting her to sign up. She didn't know anyone else going but she signed up anyway. . When she attended the retreat, people kept mentioning small groups and finally convinced her to sign up. During her first online small group, they were studying, "The Best Yes" by @LysaTerKeurst and it changed her life forever. Sarah said, “Some people don’t let you shine. They diminish you. But my small group lets me be the BEST me.” Now Sarah is a small group leader for Group 33 and has even connected with OBSers who live nearby. Sarah leads her small group because she gets to see OBS impact the lives of other women the same way it affected hers. . Just like Sarah, you can find that deeper connection you've been searching for. Register for a small group by clicking the link in our bio.

A whole YEAR
So, I find it very hard to believe that an entire year has gone by without me so much as writing a single comment.
Wow.  I suck at this blogging thing.  LOL
I will try to get better.

Future
So, I started thinking I wanted to journal.  And, really, I don't want to journal just for the hell of it.  I want to journal as a record of who I am, what I feel, what I like, what I hate, what I value.  I want to have this in a place that future generations can see, read, and really feel like they are having a conversation with me.
Because, almost daily, I think about my grandparents and how much I wish I could talk with them again.  Ask them what they think about stuff, what mattered when they were young, what matters when they are old, what do they remember about growing up, all those things that shaped who we are and what we're about.
I was lucky enough to grow up with all 4 of my grandparents.  My mom was an only child, so you can imagine, Grandma and Grandpa Gregory were very doting on her kids (me!).  They were both at my wedding in 1987 (my favorite picture of them, all dressed up, smiling big at their first granddaughter's wedding!).  I also grew up knowing my dad's parents, Grandma and Grandpa Maguire.  Grandma died the year after I graduated high school (1984), I was very busy in college.  She didn't make it to my wedding.  :(  Grandpa was at my wedding, sitting at the Maguire family table.
When you are a little kid, you don't appreciate your elders like you should and you miss those opportunities for long, important talks about stuff that matters.  Now, I am mid-40's, often wishing I could go back and talk to them.  This blog will be for my grandkids or their grandkids to "talk" to me.
You (yes, future generations, I mean YOU), may not like everything I have to say, but times are what they are, and I can't change who I am after I am gone.  This is what I believe in the here and now...  I hope it helps you sort stuff out in your own way.
