Imagine dragons EP - Hole inside our chest

Wait, I think I just realized something about 'Hole inside our chest' by imagine dragons.

You know the line where he says: "We march in sync, my head in yours. The beat is cleaning out my dirty pores"?

This song is basically about that his heart is gone, and it belongs to the sea. That they, he and others, are marching in sync into the sea.

I think he's talking about joining a hivemind. A society where everyone is in sync and joins the sea, the hivemind.

The part where he says that this beat, which is mentioned to come instead of his heart, is cleaning out his dirty pores. Signales that he is coming out of puberty, and that the beat is connected.

This leads me to think that this hivemind, is adulthood.

He says that he's thinking, and that we should take a break from lovely singing. I think he's trying to make it clear what is happening, but everyone waves it of as 'kidding', everyone is joking with him.

He says that his heart is full of ooze, which could mean that he's growing harder and shows less emotions. That his heart is being corrupted. He also says his brain is like a burnt out fuse, which according to me, means that he's tired of trying to make it clear what is happening.

He eventually says that his brain is on the floor and that it's giving lovers all a brain tour. Which could mean his brain's explaining it to people, but I don't know why they're lovers.

This is what I think. This is not confirmed by the author of the song. This is my opinion, and is for fun. I love Imagine Dragons, especially the older songs.

So I came up with a Majora's mask theory that I love but is probably not true. Also big spoilers for Majora's mask and a minor one for Twilight princess. If you don't understand these next words I recommend that you leave: mm, trees on moon and tp, Zant

So you know how you collect masks from dead guys by playing a song? And how you turn into a deku guy in the beginning of the game? After the tutorial you find this tree sapped from all life and emotion, dead. Like the people you take masks from. And somehow you turned into a deku guy. Majora killed the tree, used the song of life to steal his soul and place it onto you. But how does he know that song?

He knows it because it was used on him. He's a mask too. Someone killed majora and put his soul into the mask. And he wants revenge. The mask salesman has countless masks. He even thought you the song of healing. He killed them all. He killed Majora... But even inside a mask he has the power to call the moon to the earth. It's almost like he was a deity.

Before we get to this I need to explain more, in Twilight princess. There is this darkness that talks to Zant. It gave Zant his power and it may also be the same thing that gade ganondorf his. Of course this is a longshot but there has to be a reason ganon keeps being reincarnated. Just like how Link and Zelda keep being reincarnated. The goddess and the darkness.

Darknesses Ganondorf was defeated by link. Darkness wanted to kill this link now that he was a child again and decided to send a near deity, Majora. But he was defeated by the mask salesman. The murderer kept the mask and it was stolen by the skull kid. Sinds Majora was a deity and didn't have a permanent physical form. The mask instead took over the kid instead of transforming him. Then wanted to kill the salesman and knowing that he could kill him in his last form he decided to send the moon upon the earth.

Before link faces him he talks to four kids just wanting to play hide and seek showing that they're innocents corrupted by Majora. When you talk to Majora he also acts innocent and if you collected all the masks he says (if I recall correctly) the following: 'Do you want to play good guy, bad guy? I'll be the good guy and you'll be the bad guy'. And he gives you the fierce deity mask showing that you are the other deity, the goddesses deity. He may be lying or maybe he thought you were as evil as the mask salesman. He wanted to kill you either way...

Athena and Ares are my favourite gods because they both have a lot of courage and willpower. They wouldn't give up just because they are the underdog.

Athena is the god of intelligent war, war with strategy. She plans before she acts. And plans very carefully. She'll still take risks if the need is great enough but she won't act recklessly.

Ares is the god of reckless war but that doesn't mean his tactic isn't effective. He takes his enemies by surprise and while they're unprepared because he acts so fast. He might kill a lot but he does so with respect and honour not brutally unlike what the people think.

They both have very different yet very effective takes on war and they may hate each other but they have a lot in common.

(I think that the story is the same for Minerva and Mars because it's just the names that are different right? Please correct me if I'm wrong.)

HOW DID YOU MISS LET'S SEAL THE DEAL

I’m glad more people are respecting botw/totk Link as an actual character with some level of depth, but, I think too many of you are forgetting the kinda person he was after losing his memories.

He’s playful, and especially good with kids.

He is HORRIBLE at flirting, or probably only does it as a joke and isn’t serious about it. Might even say things that are inappropriate sometimes.

just a general smartass.

He’s bashful. He breaks the stoic demeanor when told he looks cute in his new outfit or is asked if he has a crush on someone lol.

Other things Link has done that I couldn’t find images of but do actually happen:

- Scamming a creep into giving him his shoes.

- (botw) Trying to actually for real use the “but I’m over 100” excuse at a bar when he was 17, and completely failing at it.

- Drank what is essentially hyrule’s equivalent to sunscreen.

- Actually enjoys eating rocks

When people try to analyze Link’s character, I notice that they try to brush off depictions if his character that are more “silly goofy guy” as ooc, when those interpretations are still actually based in canon evidence.

Even Creating a Champion describes him as “more lively” after waking up. Mipha’s journal mentions he was more happy and extroverted as a young child, implying that he likely became that way due to trauma, but still probably has those playful tendencies.

Skyward sword: you wake up in your bed

And the best of all in Link's "awakening": he's asleep for the ENTIRE GAME.

Ok so I added some things thanks to @lifefromtheloam. He gave me a few situations where Link or Zelda were sleepy. If anyone has any other ideas for this drawing please let me know.

The situations @lifefromtheloam gave me: A Link to the past starts with Zelda waking link up thelapathicly, A Link between worlds has his adoptive brother waking link up and in Adventure of Link Zelda is in a sleepy curse.
