I need help.

I just started my third play-through of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. It’s gonna be my canon run, so any choices I make will be what happens.

But I have one choice I can’t make. I don’t want to make it.

(Major spoilers ahead)

It’s when you have to choose between Harding and Davrin (and Assan).

The moment I think I’ve decided who I’m gonna save, I have one conversation with the other one and immediately feel terrible.

On one hand, we have Davrin, and Assan as well. He is sworn to fight evil and protect Thedas, even if that means sacrificing himself. But every time I talk to him, I love seeing how he interacts with Assan, and how he went from not wanting anything to do with training Assan (for the most part) to him being his closest friend.

Then we have Harding. I loved her the first time I met her in Inquisition. I see her as my Rook’s best and closest friend. I also really liked her personal quest. It wasn’t like the others really. She wasn’t looking for revenge. She wasn’t facing something from her past. She was learning about her peoples history, and then choosing whether she was going to stay true to herself and live her life with compassion. Or to take control of her anger and use it for good.

I’m gonna put a poll in so anyone who reads this can tell me who they picked, and if you want, leave a comment and tell me why you picked who you did.

Hey, so I just started my fourth play through of Dragon Age Veilguard and decided I want to post pics of my Rook on here.

This is my canon play through Rook.

Her name is Esmaria de Riva. She is a Antivan Crow Mage.

My backstory for her is that her father is Zevran Arainai from Dragon Age Origins. I know that isn’t the most unique backstory, but I liked the idea. No, her mother is not my Warden. Her mother is an Elven woman Zevran met a year after the Fifth Blight. He was in Rivain and she was visiting from Antiva, Treviso specifically, when they met. Needless to say, they had fun together then 9 month later my Rook was born. Zevran doesn’t know about my Rook and my Rook’s mother couldn’t let her husband (yes, she had a husband. He’s a dick) know that she had an affair while she was away. So when she played it off as her husband’s baby until she was born, then gave her away, playing it off to her husband as she lost the baby during birth. The reason she did this is because my Rook looks exactly like Zevran, so she wouldn’t look at all like her mother or her mother husband.

Who did her mother give her away to, you ask? (No one asked) She gave her to an old acquaintance of hers. Viago de Riva. Viago had been someone who had saved my Rook’s mother a few times, and my Rook’s mother was a secret informant for him. So she took my Rook to him and told him to take her away. Viago had intended to leave the baby on the doorstep of some rich noble but had the idea to bring her to the Crows. So he did.

Little did he know that she was the daughter of the most hated Crow in all of Antiva.

Thoughts? The backstory needs some tweaking but that’s kinda the basis. Also, tried to make my Rook’s skin tone match Zevran’s as close as possible but I couldn’t quite get the shade as perfect as I would’ve liked. Also, she romances Lucanis cause why would I pass up the perfect opportunity for an awkward son and father-in-law moment.

I’m not complaining. I know it sounds like it, but it isn’t really. I just love him so, so much. In all honesty, I don’t want him to be straight, I love him as he is and if he was straight (or even bisexual, tbh), it wouldn’t be the same. I just love him so much that sometimes I tend to express it in the way of wanting to romance him, but I really just live him as a friend. Even if I could romance him, I probably wouldn’t. I’m a little too in love with Cullen.

And I do not disrespect anyone. Real or fictional. Gay or straight. At least I do not intend to, and I’m very sorry if I ever have or ever do.

In the end, I view Dorian as my Inquisitor’s closest and best friend. I have never pictured them together romantically because they wouldn’t not get along romantically. Their personalities are too similar, that they would just end up having a relationship like Dorian’s parents. And I don’t want that. For either of them, especially not Dorian.

So in conclusion, I am sorry if I disrespected or offended you in anyway. I truly did not mean to and I am truly, truly sorry.

I love this! Those two are my favorite characters! Harding is so willing to admit that, yes, she’s not a big fan of him being an abomination but she’s not mean about it. And Lucanis is such a sweetheart with her! My husband and my bestie!

I need a man like Lucanis

I have an idea.

So, I have been trying to design a superhero character for a story I'm writing, but I'm sure if the powers she has make her overpowered. I'm looking for opinions.

So firstly, she has healing powers, but she has to sing to heal the person. She can't use them on herself, and she can't heal diseases like cancer or anything.

Then her other abilities are:

1) Steel claws, where her finger nails grow into solid steel and extremely sharp claws. 2) Near complete invulnerability to everything except iridium. 3) Enhanced metabolism. 4) Extended lifespan, but not immortal. 5) Near unlimited energy. 6) Enhanced Reflexes. 7) Enhanced Strength, but she's not quite as strong as like Homelander or Soldier Boy from The Boys.

Her weaknesses are:

1) Iridium. It does completely block her power but it drains all of her energy to the point where she can barely stand. 2) Limited stamina. 3) Lesser intelligence, she's stupid but she definitely isn't a genius. 4) Lose of control, if she gets to angry she can lose control. She 'blacks out' and goes on a rage filled rampage, killing anyone in the area. It's not like Bruce Banner and The Hulk, but more of like, for lack of a better term, an animal's survival instinct.
