Possession Collection: @hexsie

SMG3 made sure not to hurt Hexsie as he entered her body and filled it with his presence. Unlike with unwilling victims of possession, this was consensual. She was letting him in, and all he had to do was slip through and take the reins from her hands. The transformation was far from painful, and Hexsie only felt a slight stretching, poking, and tingling as SMG3 took over. Now Hexsie was but a passenger, conscious in her own mind, watching from the backseat.

SMG3 opened Hexsie’s eyes and inspected the transformation. The damage was minimal, and he internally breathed a sigh of relief.

But he sensed some extra changes. Something was… new. Looking over his shoulder, his breath caught at the sight of the familiar goop tentacles growing from Hexsie’s back. Anxiety and fear rose up for a split second, before he reminded himself that he had already overcome… that day. 

But there was also this… lightness that came with Hexsie’s body. It was as if his body had been tensed and held up for so long that it had forgotten what it was like to unwind. What was this…?

As he stood there in the forest, he realized that his mind was quieter. There had once been an incessant barrage of whispers that once kept him on edge, but now it had been replaced by the warm presence of… companionship. He knew that this was definitely Hexsie, still with him. 

Finally, as he examined his body in wonder and slight confusion, he noticed that the red collar, once firmly wrapped around his throat, now sat loosely over Hexsie’s collarbone. The cuffs around his wrists now dangled slightly. This blatant display of symbolic imagery confirmed his theory: the Entity’s influence on him had been partially lifted. He was partially lucid.

He couldn't help but let out a shaky, but genuine laugh.

"...This isn't so bad!"

Usually, going lucid was unpleasant. But this time, with Hexsie there with him, he felt that he was going to be okay. Scaring SMG4 could wait. He just wanted to be like this, even just temporarily.

Even though this was more than he deserved…

My favorite part about Toomp is that even tho hes built like a lil guy, he still feels very much like a Character.

He doesnt feel like just a cute little animal sidekick guy created for simply marketability purposes, he feels like a character with thought and personality.

He doesnt just act out because its cute or random or quirky, he actually behaves like a person kinda, and is perfectly capable of being helpful, or being dangerous, whenever he feels like it. He does often get upset with Mr. Puzzles, and he does things that he thinks are helpful, he follows orders and does a good job, but isnt a mindless, brainless servant.

Hes a very lovely little guy and i like him a lot.

I feel like some people need to relearn Genre Expectations... "Man, this tragedy sucks!!! Why didn't they just do XYZ, then everything could have ended happily!!" well, then it wouldn't be a tragedy, would it. "Man, this lighthearted teen romcom is terrible, it's so sappy and unrealistic!!" Well, yeah. If it had been gritty and dark, it wouldn't have been a lighthearted romcom, would it. Is the writing actually bad or are you just trying to order a milkshake from a Home Depot

”getting thicker skin” is great in theory but I think for some people “get better at handling your thin skin” is gonna be way more helpful advice. I have strong emotional reactions to criticism and they might never go away, but i can continue to try and handle each situation maturely and that’s the important part. Sometimes irrational feelings are chronic and living with them is better than trying to beat yourself up into not having them.
