Peter used to like saying he and Carl were getting married, particularly in 2003.
***************
Interviewer: Any improvement in your volatile relationships with Carl?
Peter: Yeah, the atmosphere on a whole has become much more peaceful. We haven’t had any fights these days. We realized after many years that we would often quarrel because we couldn’t be honest and say “I love you.” And then it took the opposite expression, when in fact we need each other. But now we both are more honest with ourselves and don’t try to hide our feelings. To tell you the truth, we have decided to get married.
Interviewer: Wow. Are you guys engaged?
Peter: Yeah, Carl bought me a ring.
Interviewer: What kind of ring was it?
Peter: You know, the Irish kind, the design that has two hands surrounding a heart.

Interviewer: In our last phone interview with Peter, he said that he was going to get married to you.
Carl: Oh yeah, we are getting along.
Peter: But we had a serious fight about three weeks ago. ‘Cause Carl …
Carl: Stop it. You’re going to cry again.
Peter: It was because of Carl. He said he would go to Morocco with me but …
Carl: I said stop.
Peter: But it’s true!

Interviewer: You’re sort of like a married couple…
Peter: That’s what mostly everyone who’s close to us says. Carlos and I are husband and wife.
Peter discussing the gay kiss at the end of Last of the English Roses. Thank you anon for reminding me of his beautiful (and today quite apt) description of what a gentle kiss can mean. (x)
Damn Carl, he's just practicing, you're gonna be grateful later on.

I find the urgency with which Carl needs to stop Peter from fellating things really entertaining. He just likes putting hard objects in his mouth, let him live Carlos.
