my personal met gala outfit: an iraqi hashmi-inspired dress in deep green worn over chocolate brown drop-front breeches and boots. the hashmi would be tailored to nip in at the waist then split so it billows out to form a dramatic silhouette a la the dandy's long coat. the breeches would have traditional southern iraqi embroidery instead of the usual piping with a matching pattern on the boot cuffs. gold accessories with arabic calligraphy motifs. a boater hat decorated in the sumerian style to top it all off
