Anyone else remember these crabs from stone’s mini pre-quill comic?

I think it’s interesting that this is the second instance of the badniks being crustaceans,, these look a lot smaller than the Sonic 3 crab though. They’re little smaller than a car while The Crab is big enough to live in.

I like to imagine that the big crab can deploy these like they’re the little crab babies or smth. Be crab with mama.

if robotnik had lived long enough to clone stone would that be fucked up or what. stone's replaced not just by gerald but by himself. a him that's perfect, that doesn't hesitate, that doesn't get jealous. a version of himself that still gets left behind and still fails to save robotnik (good job, idiot) so now it's just them on earth. twisted mirror. i think they would hate each other. is stone self-loathing? i don't think he was. he clearly puts the doctor's health and safety above his own, but in his mental hierarchy it goes 1. robotnik 2. himself and 3. the rest of the world. but... he couldn't protect the one person that mattered. neither could his replacement. that's going to live with him forever. it's one thing to be stuck in your head all the time. it's another for your own thoughts to look back at you and find you wanting.

if stone made a clone of robotnik, he (robotnik) would fuck his clone

OH YEAH while I was in the shower I was thinking about Stone taking up the Robotnik mantle... and him somehow coming across some really old designs Ivo made... like maybe when he was a kid (theyre the more whimsical and cute creature bot designs from the game) and he wrote in his little notebooks about his fun little ideas and maybe wrote in the notebooks like a diary too and saying people make fun of his robot designs...

Which is why his Badniks look more modern/plain. So people would take him more seriously...

Anyways... Stone decides to avenge this aspect of Ivo too (Ivo still has his whimsy lbr but its clear hes a little embarrassed about it... probably why he yelled at Stone for catching him dancing. Even though Stone was just trying to join in.) and starts making those designs. And thats how we can have the cutesy Badniks from the games as well.

i'd like to think Stone didn't have separation anxiety, but after 3 films of Robotnik running off and nearly/actually dying stone sure does have it now. i think of a scene were rob gets overly excited about something and just disappears when stone's back is turned and stone has an almost panic attack trying to find rob again. and it's probably something really minor, like rob saw a drink he wanted and just went off without thinking but stone still freaks out for several minutes
