Your old writing was great!! :o Last Spring is basically everything I want in an IF lol, but I'm looking forward to seeing the rewrites too. Also agree with that previous ask about Ned, he's so sweet 🥰. In the old demo I was torn between being Ned's “lady in gold” vs growing up together at the Eyrie & “this is Lady [MC]”.

Hi question, if I already asked this you can ignore. what colours and themes do you think The Duchess would be in UTDM? Like how the Maison de La Lune has grey colours and is "Baroque country mansion and a Parisian opera house" like, and how Lackadaisy is described in the fic as so much gold

The de la Lune isn't grey? It's more gaudy, bright colors in contrast to the Duchess being stately and "elegant". I never had an exact color scheme for the Duchess - I know that's not exactly helpful ... but I always pictured it as a place you could mistake for an English gentleman's club, or a very fine restaurant. Almost too cold and exclusive, in contrast to the Lackadaisy having a rich warmth, and the de la Lune being bright and in-your-face with both its interior, women and music.

Hey, how’s everything coming along still, with Under the Devil’s Moon? I know the fandom for Lackadaisy has been kinda dead for a bit, but after being away a bit I was pleasantly surprised to see that the interactive fic was still being worked on! So anyways, thanks for your dedication, I suppose, and I hope the project continues going along smoothly. And who knows, maybe we’ll have episode 1 of Lackadaisy soon this year!

☆Seeking Beta Readers☆

For those who have the interest and spare time, I'd like a second set of eyes for what I've got for Ch3, and variable-hunters for Ch 1+2!

What I'd Like Help With

1) A beta reader for UTDM Ch3's rough draft - I'd love a second set of eyes and opinions, and I'd like to have the variations, dialogue and scenes set in stone before coding them.

2) Adding variations in UTDM's Ch1 and Ch2. I don't mean entire paragraphs for a single variable, but moreso mentions and references.

I will be using discord DMs to communicate w/ beta readers. No tumblr DMs or tumblr asks.

This is low pressure and not serious. I totally understand if IRL comes up (lord knows its been kicking my butt for months). Please tell me if you're busy and/or no longer interested. And don't worry, I am NOT dumping thousands of words on you at once nor expecting fancy professional editing! It's just a second set of eyes to suggest things and notice glaring errors because I'm often too deep in the weeds to see them.

Suggestions for Existing Variations

I'm also taking suggestions from readers for the tons of variations in UtDM, within reason. I may not include it and I am NOT adding new variables to character creation. You can send this through tumblr asks or tumblr dms. Please do not spam me.

Examples: Taking off glasses before bed, more chronic pain mentions, more references to one's culture, a long tail getting in the way, and so on.

Bad Example: A variation that's only for Distiller + Has a Son + Femme Clothing + White Furred + Chronic Pain. Too specific, too difficult to code.

Basically, if there was a time where you thought 'Oh, I thought X would've come up here?', you can suggest it. There are MANY options in UtDM's character creator and I don't catch all of them.

What About Last Spring Beta Reading ??

Unlike Devils Moon, I dont write Last Spring 100% linearly. I'm open to a single beta reader for Last Spring, but some scenes will be out order or unavailable. I'm currently looking to cut down a lot of Arryn's intro, fixing up Mormont's, and polishing Staedmon's. Beesbury is finished, Sarus and Harlaw need work.

Bug fixing is not necessary yet, and I won't be accepting new Character Creation options for Last Spring.

its so funny writing mormont!MC then switching to harlaw!MC. Yeah lady mormont was raised in a rural isolated area but at least she has enough court etiquette to not make a fool of herself. Lady harlaw on the other hand. well.

i got reminded how funny the greyjoys are again its so awesome how throughout acok youre like god theon you are insane and a weirdo and like sure asha is there and also insane and weird but she's kind of serving with it and yeah aeron is there for two minutes but he seems like he's been through it so its ok he's kinda odd. so you let it pass and then you hit affc and you finally get more greyjoy povs and you realize Oh. They're all like batshit insane. Theon is on the normal side here. Conceptually Imagine being jon and haaating theon growing up because you think he's an asshole and he is yeah and then you meet literally anyone else in his family and theyre like that but worse and also command ships of hundreds of men. SUCH a tragedy we never got any of the starks to meet literally any other greyjoy to have a point of comparison here on what theon couldve been like

What kind of dress does fem!mcs will wore to the club for the first time? I had a hard time deciding what she would wear since in 1920s had its own fashion of women dress so I don’t know if fem!mcs gonna wore that kind of dress or just straight up wore the regular dress that’s not fancy dancing dress like-everyday clothes that’s not for the club if yk what I mean😢cause I figured it’d be a little weird if she didn’t wearing dresses for the club and wear her for-work dress/outside dress instead😭(for m!mcs I don’t rlly worried since they mostly wear suits anyway or just half formal dress which I don’t think it was the case-)

No way was a femme!MC wearing a fancy nightclub flapper dress when they first showed up to Lackadaisy - those were very expensive and not clothes your average woman wore, and MC is there to work. Not dance. Showing up in a ritzy gown with makeup and pearls would be kinda odd, but hey if that's the sort of MC you have, more power to them. (I think I mentioned they threw some clean clothes on, but nothing fancy - I could be wrong, Im away from my pc.)

Typically very femme!dressing MCs are in inexpensive skirts and blouses with work boots, sometimes heels, simply bc they're always working and most of their wardrobe is back in Chicago. Heels are usually mentioned if being worn. Femme!MC will wear trousers on occassion, esp if on a job.

There will be opportunity (eventually) for an MC to dress really nice and go out. They deserve a nice day off lol

I think you mean, is the MC still together with them? Kind of. There's no hating each other or tragic break-ups if that's what you mean.

Ive already said it many times - im not nearly to the ending, its not 100% set in stone.
