I can’t shake this pain,

You think you are in love with someone,

starting a life with them,

planning a family, a home everything.

They live with you and you support them blindly out of trust and love.

and then….you find out they have been having a double life relationship for two months. Doing to her all the things that made you fall in love. Making her the fun non stressful version of you.

That must be incredibly draining. At what point is enough, enough?

You loved the idea of me. You loved the passion and attraction. You loved how I loved you. And in the end, you repeated how we fell in love…

with her.

because you never loved anyone.

You just need us all to love you.

Sunsetting,

Soft oranges and pinks spread across the clouds creating a cotton candy sky.

The golden glare shimmers across your face as you close your eyes in warmth.

A warmth that isn’t physical,

As a sharp wind cuts through your hair leaving chills down your spine.

A warmth that simmers in your chest as you feel your shoulders start to relax.

A warmth that burns into your pores and allows you to take a breath,

And another,

Another.

You can finally breath again as the world quiets slowly,

And you fall back into the safety of the night.

I know we are meant to be because our demons have danced.

they have locked eyes, feeling an instant connection and loved one another,
