I love rewatching the clip of Barnyard Boogie from The Muppet Show, cause it's Lips' first time performing with the Mayhem on stage for real and not just with the orchestra or just rehearsing

And it really does feel like he's trying to prove his skills as a musician to them and the Mayhem are ROCKING WITH HIM LIKE CRAAAZY

Like the moment where Teeth says "Take it!" and him and Lips are looking at eachother at the beginning of his little solo

Then also when him and Zoot naturally just fall perfectly into sync in their movements as they play together for their brass duet in it, without even really looking at eachother
