Omg all the possibilities of James having a tail. Im having a field day thinking about it being constantly wrapped around Regulus in any way it can reach him. They are sleeping and it is looped around Reg's waist or they are sitting somewhere and it sneaking to wrap around his calf or James just wants him closer and casually swoops him with the tail or when Regulus is being a tease he would wrap it around his wrists to keep him in place... I will be thinking about them all day

YES TO ALL OF THIS I LOVE IT you totally get the vision but consider the strength of that demon tail... in my mind it wraps around a couple of times and casually sweeps regulus off his feet. Like james is just an eager demon dog and lifts regulus in the air and he is like "bad boy. put me down now."

Or regulus is just mad at him and wants to storm off but james wraps it around his tights like "you are going nowhere"

and i think it would be so funny if james used his tail to trip him just to have an excuse to catch him a second after he is a menace

also THE TAIL AROUND HIS WRISTS?!?! i need to lay down but imagine that tail loosely wrapped around regulus' throat and he is just audibly gulping bc he is silently chanting "tighter"
