Is it normal to hate a word...? The way it is structured, the phonetics and grammar... it just sets off a feeling of uncanny valley. Why is it like that. I hate it.

Primarchs as chickens I’ve owned over the years that for some reason reminded me of them

Is this deeply stupid? Probably. Whatever. The idea would not let me go. I will be marking these chickens by what breed they were because tbh I’ve had so many I mix up the names a little. I wrote this on my phone in like twenty minutes so sorry about any typos.

Lion-red orpington. Spicy and reserved, but no problem trying to hunt the mice in our fields.

Fulgrim-olive egger. One of our ‘fancy’ chickens. Surprisingly high survival rate for the chicks she hatched out, which for some reason reminded me of Fulgrim’s whole regrowing the legion from basically nothing thing.

Perturabo-barred rock. Not particularly friendly, not very well liked by the other chickens, generally gets the worst roost.

Jaghatai-dominant copper. Minds their own business and doesn’t get involved with chicken drama.

Leman-buff Orpington. Smaller than our other chickens but hides it with a prodigious amount of fluff. Smarter than they initially appear. Social, and a determined hunter.

Dorn-our blue sapphire-Easter egger cross rooster. Protective and maintains the perimeter, not particularly emotive or social.

Night Haunter-buff Orpington again, but this time more in the sense of social but pecks way too hard when eating out of your hand, messy hunter, and godawful at parenting/brooding.

Sanguinius-colorpack. Pretty, blonde, friendly, possible bloodlust from how hard they peck.

Ferrus-this one black chicken that we forgot the name of the breed. Plain, dependable, hangs out with our barred rock and generally one of the tougher chickens.

Angron-our little silkie rooster who has been full of bottomless rage since being overthrown as head rooster. Tiny. Not respected or liked. Stuck on the outskirts of the flock cause no one really likes him.

Gulliman-Easter egger. Sociable, friendly, in charge, smart.

Mortarion-dominant copper. Kind of on the outskirts, but otherwise similar reasoning to Jaghatai.

Magnus-any of our chickens that manage to sneak into our fenced garden but are too stupid to figure a way out.

Horus-Easter egger again, for similar reasons to Gulliman, except he also raised up several rat bastard sons that cause problems (Abbadon in 40k, two previous mixed rooster that were nothing but a pain to my mom’s garden and the poor hens).

Lorgar-our little red chicken no one remembers the breed of. Friendly, gets pecked on a lot. Far more outgoing with people than the other chickens. Not much going for them other than charisma.

Vulkan-blue sapphire rooster. Large, sweet, gentle, protective, and breaks up fights between the other chickens. Also one of the smarter ones.

Corvus-dominant copper. Again not super flashy or out in the world, kinda quiet and uninvolved initially with the chicken soap opera.

Alpharius and Omegon-wyandottes. Those two chickens were basically chickens and a trip to try to tell apart. Also, all my memories of them slide off my brain and it’s very hard to tell a story about them because the personality was so bland you’d think it was focus tested.

Bonus:

The emperor-my dad, who keeps getting more chickens than we know what to do with. Twenty chickens, much like sons, is objectively too many I think lol. (In no other way does the emperor resemble my father)

Enjoy, my first attempt at Eldar clothing. I’m still at the fumbling around stage, but I’m doing prep work for a very detailed watercolor piece I’m planning on doing down the line and wanted to get an idea of what kind of clothing Isha would maybe be wearing prior becoming Nurgle’s fancy guinea pig. I might try another couple designs, but I like the bones of this one.

Also, that is in fact Isha; I wasn’t finding any canonical design for her so I went a bit wild. The weird texture on her skin is bark. Enjoy her and the itty bitty eldar hanging out in her hands that you can barely see lol.
