Handy dandy little WIP I’m working on

This is a re-do of some art I did in college, testing out my skills with neon colours and interesting outfit designs

Some random doodles i did for class, we had to find applications for a furry plate. I first thought of it as a chest hair replacement and due to watching Hasbin Hotel i thought it was logical for Lucifer to be the model for it. Then my brain spiralled into using it for world domination and a hairy plate cult? I dont know. Then it became an angel thing with ‘Be not afraid’

Heres the paper-craft version of the Protogen! I didnt have paper in the colors i wanted and i didnt have the sticky squares so i tried it digitally

Basic Idea for the MA course

For the MA i will be bettering my skills as an artist and cosplay creator,

Ill do this by doing artist style analysis of other artists styles and how i could apply their techniques to my own work, I’ll also do analysis on their processes and how I could incorporate that into my own creative processes.

I will also deepen my knowledge of materials and techniques to improve my sewing skills and such, this will lead smoothly into learning pattern making and figuring out the intricacies of pattern making.

To add to that ill be deepening my knowledge of the context behind cosplay, character art and concept art by looking into the histories behind each and looking into the details of when, where and how they started.

To branch off that, ill be looking into neurodivergency and how it effects sensory issues with clothing and how i can adapt cosplays and costumes to meet clients needs.

Along with that i will be focusing on incorporating function into my cosplay designs, for example adding in-seam pockets to skirts or finding ways to discreetly add storage to cosplays. This will help cosplayers not have to carry bags around at conventions - unless that bag is an accessory itself, of course

The full colour version of the Protogen lineart. Playing around with layers, opacity and blending styles. I decided on hard shading as I thought it looked better than the usual soft shading i do. The colours being inspired slightly by Harley Quinn with how they are placed - swapping with the limbs and torso pieces

Line art of a Protogen inspired by a lava lamp, this is my third attempt of an anthropomorphic character. The following posts will be the coloured and paper-art styled version of this lineart. I was inspired by ball jointed dolls, lava lamps and the species of Protogens to create a smug looking cat-lava lamp-robot character

Hello! I should probably do an intro post

This is my archive for my art that i make on the Masters course I’m on. I’m hoping to make this soley focused around character art, concept art and cosplay creation!

My eventual goal is to make a cosplay business that caters for sensory issues with neurodivergent people and have plus sized sizes! Im neurodivergent and on the cusp of straight sized to plus size so im aware of the issues of finding sizes in cosplay and the issues with different fabrics, tightness and looseness of garments too!

Heres the previous character but a front and back, the shoulders are slightly awkward on the back view, ill fix them at some point. Theres also two headshots, one angry looking and the other happy, showing off their teeth. This is so i have an idea of what fits for their character when i draw them in later artworks

This is a breakdown of a character i am designing, a fursona. This was inspired by tuxedo cats, obviously. I wanted to get a breakdown of each part of the head so i could eventually turn them into a fursuit given the time and products to due so

A couple tattoos that i want to get done. Cyber siglism, Sanrio and witchcraft being my inspirations. The athame down the sternum symbolising my beliefs. Sanrio characters, Kuromi and My Melody, being my favourite mix of punk/alternative and cutesy/soft styles. The cyber siglism just looks cool in contrast with various gems I drew. Cant wait to colour this!

A small tutorial i did on metal rendering, semi-realistic. I wanted to get to grips with somewhat realistic colouring so i can add it to my concept and character art in the future. I played around with layers to achieve the look I desired. I also used an image that is under the creative commons license so i could get accurate line art of a bell
