"You must be in real bad trouble" you turn your head to see where the voice came from, you notice one of your (not so) lovely fellow inmate,

"Huh? Why do you say that?" You know the answer, it happens almost everytime you visit wriothesley in his office,

"Oh don't play dumb your always in and out of the dukes office, you just can't stay out of trouble." She crosses her arms with a smirk on her face,

"Ohh! That..." You think over your words carefully "Wri- Uh the duke and I have a uh.. special relationship erm..you wouldn't get it so.."

She scoffes "Okay, not this again...just give up. Nobody buys that your dating the duke" you avert your eyes to a very interesting object (it's the wall) "besides he'd be better off with someone like me" She flicks her hair and you want to choke in primordial sea water.

"Uh that's nice I really have to get going" you try to get out of the unnecessary conversation before things get...

"It's not like he'd want to get with you anyway, I mean...not to be rude but, look at you! Your build is all wrong and your face isn't all that pretty either" there it is. . .

"Okay I really should get going..." You don't wait for her to respond and you rush to the dormitories, you run into seigewine.

"Oh hello [Name]- Oh! Are you alright? Why are you crying. Come with me to the infirmary!" Once you're there, you sit on a bed while seigewine fixes you a cup of tea.

"So tell me" she climbs on an infirmary bed across from you, "what's wrong?" She looks concerned,

"I-It's that stupid girl again...s-she keeps bothering me..I'm so tired if it..!" You look at the floor and wipe your tears,

"[Name] I'm sure if you just told the duke he'd do something about it" she'd told you this many times before, why are humans so stubborn?"

"But..he's already got so much stuff on his plate, I don't want to burden him.." you've stopped crying by now but your still hurt,

"You wouldn't be burdening him! If you don't tell him I will!" She crosses her arms.

"Tell who what? Wriothesley walks into the infermary. Seigewine sneaks out of the room,

"Oh uhhhh, nothing!" You don't look him in the eye, "oh really?" He steps closer so that now he's in kneeling front of you, he holds your face with his hands, "If it's nothing then why were you crying,"

You eventually give in and end up spilling everything, along with a few tears.

"Why didn't you say anything to me?" He wipes your tears with his thumb,

"I-I didn't want to bother you.." your still looking down, Wriothesley stays silent for a moment before speaking again "look at me" you hesitantly lock eyes with him, "you never bothering me, okay If you want to tell me something, then tell me" you nod, he sounds firm but you know it's because he genuinely cares about you.

The next few days are a blur, Wriothesley made it a point to make it known that you two were in fact together, although you didn't feel like it was necessary. You two would walk together, hand in hand, to the coupon cafeteria.

Also, you haven't seen that one girl recently. I wonder what happened to her...?

As soon as you saw the rain outside, you knew you had to do something to cheer Neuvillette up, A sad boyfriend? Not on your watch. Since you know Neuvillette doesn't like to talk about what he's going through, (simply because most times he doesn't understand it either) you spent a long time figuring out what to do for him, you looked at the time,

"11:05..." Oh yeah!! Neuvillette goes in lunch break in an hour, A lunch date! Why didn't you think of this before? There's no time to loose, you get started making all his favorite treats, and water, that he insists is the best kind of water there is but you can't tell the difference. Your done getting everything ready by 11:40 and shove it all in a picnic basket,

"To Palais Mermonia!"

You arrive in front of Neuvillette's office, greetings a few melusine on the way. As soon as the door opened and he sees you, the rain died down, "Ah..what are you doing here?" He's pretending not to be too happy to see you, although he's ecstatic,

"I thought I'd surprise you so we can have lunch together, now let me in so I can show you what I made you!" He lets you in and you start taking the food out, and in no time, the rain has stopped and the both of you are chatting and laughing away while enjoying delicious treats,

"Thank you" Neuvillette says without meeting your eyes, "for what?" You ask confused, "For cheering me up" He looks up and smiles softly at you,

"Oh, well what kind of girlfriend would I be if I didn't?" You smile back at him

It's the things like this that make him feel so lucky to have you

"No, thank you though." You pop the pills in your mouth and swallow them with a glass of water, "Okay! I'll be over there, call me if you need me." Collie starts to leave,

"Oh wait there is something!" You call out to her "Tighnari! Can you get him for me?"

"oh uh..sure!" Colliei leaves to get him and Tighnari walks in a little bit after, "Do you need something?" He stands in front of the bed your sitting on,

"No asshole, Colliei already got me everything I needed. Your my boyfriend, you should be here for me..What are you even doing?" You cross your arms,

"Sorry I had to finish some work..." He steps closer to you "You were talking to some girl outside dipshit"

"She was here to pick up some medicine" Tighnari sits next to you on the bed,

"Yeah right, she's probably your secret girlfriend..." You roll over and lie on the bed, facing away from him "...You don't have a secret girlfriend right?" You roll back over to face him, you could cry any second

"I don't" he reaches over to run his hand through your hair "I promise"

"Okay..." You still sound a bit skeptical but you know he would never cheat on you, your just a lil out of it right now,

"How are you feeling" Tighnari pulls his hand away "Could be better" You glare at him and put his hand back on your head,

"You should get some rest" He gets up to "Nuh uh, where do you think your going" you stop him "im not sleeping unless you stay here."

"You're still going to persist if I say no, aren't you?" He folds his arms, "Yes do don't waste time and get over here!" You fold your arm mimicking him.

If anything it makes Wriothesley love you more, if that's even possible, but he especially when he teases you.

"What the fuck Wriothesley."

He thinks your cute when your mad, you think he's delusional. Although you'd never admit it to him, your face gets hot and you feel butterflies in your stomach, especially when he does that stupid smirk, and when he calls you cute you get flustered and try really hard not to stop stuttering. But today, Wriothesley seemed determined to 'win' your little bicker,

"I don't want your stupid tea" you turn your head away from the cup that is pressed to your lips,

"C'mon, just try it" he places his hand on your cheek so that you would be facing him "I bought it just for you"

"Well...I don't..want it" you try not to think about the hand that's currently caressing your cheek "im still mad at you!" You push his hand away.

"I said I was sorry, I didn't realize that I drunk your tea. You can't still mad since I bought you more" Wriothesley crosses his arms, still holding the tea,

"Well..I wanted that specific one, and you could've just brewed my tea on accident asshole" you cross your arms back at him

Wriothesley sighs "Must you be so difficult?" He puts the tea on his desk before going over to pick you up.

"Hey! Put me down you fucking asshole!" You unsuccessfully attention to free yourself from his grasp, He ignores you and sits in his office chair with you on his lap, and brings the cup to your lips again "please baby, do it for me?"

As much as you don't want you take a sip, how can you say no to him? "How does it taste?" He smiles at you, of course it tasted good, you bought it, well before he drunk it, You stick your toung out at him, which leads to Wriothesley kissing you in response.

"H-hey!" You try to keep your words steady but they end up being a stuttery mess "What's that for!" You ask him angrily

He laughs "I just love seeing my affect on you sweetheart" His lips meet yours again but this time for longer

"Hmph... you're an ass!"

"And you're adorable."

It was gradual. It started with small things like catching himself staring at you for a little to long or paying close attention to what foods you like and the little tea (dates...?) you had in his office together were slowly becoming more frequent.

He'd make sure to spend time with you because he likes to be around you because when you smile maybe his heart skips a beat and maybe when you laugh he can't help but laugh as well because your so adorable

you're just really close friends right? Even if you did get together it wouldn't work...you have a life above the surface, your only here because you have a job to do. And since he's always in the fortress it just wouldn't work, well at least that's what he thought.

"No." Wriothesley said, avoiding sigewinne's eyes "I've watched couples before! You obviously like her." Sigewinne popped into his line of vision, "And plus, you have this look in your eyes! There's no use lying to yourself, just admit it!"

Wriothesley huffed "Okay even if I did..like her..I doubt it would go anywhere, she probably doesn't ev-"

"Sigewinne! How do you know if you've fractured something? Oh hello Wriothesley!" You come down the stairs in a hurry,

Sigewinne glares at wriothesley and then moves her attention to you "you didn't fracture anything did you?" Sigewinne asked "No! Not me but...hypothetically, if you bumped into someone and they fell backwards..and now they're screaming in pain and saying I broke their arm...? Oh Wriothesley..! Do you think I could get arrested for that?" You sit on the infirmary bed in front of Wriothesley

"Oh yeah, that's a serious crime. You'd probably get 10 years in the fortress" He teased

"10 years? Your joking right..I mean it wouldn't be all bad, since your here." Sigewinne looks at Wriothesley, who either ignored what you just said, or was completely oblivious. As you two continue to converse Sigewinne sneaks out of the room, and you go to sit next to Wriothesley.

But now..somehow...after for talking for maybe an hour or two...you ended up asleep on Wriothesley shoulder, and now he's maybe playing with your hair...(?)
