i’ve always thought about this. i wonder if in the aftermath of the giant war, if the hunters/thalia spent any time at the camp. imagine jason seeing thalia and percy acting like brother and sister. teasing each other. getting all competitive. joking around. imagine jason looking over and seeing them being all playful, and then percy pulls her into a side hug, like a brother. and thalia kisses his cheek and ruffles his hair, like a big sister. imagine jason hearing percy, thalia, grover, and annabeth joke about the old times. talking about all their adventures together. it’s clear how much they all love each other.

percy is one of his closest friends. that’s canon. the two of them become like brothers. which makes it all that much harder because part of him wants to hate percy. percy has everything jason has ever wanted: a loving mother who has always been there for him, a godly father who truly cares about him, a best friend, his true love, and right down to the close sibling bond with jason’s sister. but he just can’t hate percy. because percy is an amazing guy. and jason knows that percy has been through never-ending, unimaginable pain and suffering, arguably much worse than his own. but unlike percy, jason’s pain doesn’t come from dealing with his disabilities, or being abused, or being horribly used and traumatized over and over again - it’s that he’s always been so lonely. he’s never had anyone. and the things percy has been through are things jason can’t even fathom. but percy has never once in his life been truly lonely. not even for a second.

I wish we got Jason being upset or jealous or something of Percy being closer to Thalia than he was. Annabeth too, tbh.

Like, can you imagine what that would have been like. Thalia is the ONLY family Jason really has. Camp Jupiter thinks of him as a soldier. His mom is dead and his dad is Zeus.

And he barely has any relationship with her!! He didn't even know she existed for most of his life and then they finally found each other but they had to split up after just a few hours and only saw each other a couple of times after that! Meanwhile Percy has gone on multiple quests with her and got to spend around a year with her and they were already pretty close at the start of TTC. Annabeth spent a year on the streets with her and also got to hang out with her pre-TTC to the point where Percy was competing with Thalia to be Annabeth's best friend (albeit one sided) And then there was Luke and Nico and the hunters of Artemis and even Reyna.

Just. Idk. Give me Jason wishing he could have that with Thalia.

um actually grover underwood is the bravest character because when percy and annabeth left for college, they drove from new york to san fran. coast to coast. and grover went with them. this dude willingly went on a long road trip with his two best friends who are in a relationship. you would not catch me dead going on a road trip with just 2 people who are dating. and 18 year olds nonetheless?? oh hell no

remember how every time in cotg when percy and annabeth flirt and kiss, grover gets so uncomfortable? how the FUCK did he enclose himself in a car with them for that long? and yes i KNOW grover is their best friend. and i KNOW he is used to them, and they are all gonna be a close trio forever. but that doesn’t mean that this road trip didn’t include many moments that made him WIDLY uncomfortable. he hasn’t been on a long extended adventure with them since before they started dating. (that we know of.) like… were percy and annabeth making flirtatious jokes with each other during the drive? were they playing love songs? did- did percy horribly belt out the words to cheesy romance songs? oh gods… do they have a song?? also percy and annabeth are so PDA it’s not even funny. they have no subtlety whatsoever. remember when they just, like, fully made out in front of piper in BoO?? (yes, the kiss with annabeth’s grunt-whimpers 🫠)

i just want to know the logistics. like are they stopping at hotels/motels? if so, are grover and percy in one bed/room and annabeth in another? or are they typical teenagers and percy’s going “so, grover, buddy, you wouldn’t mind if annabeth and i took that one, would ya?” same thing if they are camping. what’s the tent situation? are they all in one? either way i feel like percy and annabeth are gonna be sneaking away. are they going on long “walks” together while grover just sits there and chats with the trees? or do they not leave his side, and instead sit there and cuddle and flirt and act absolutely disgustingly adorable while grover is just chilling there like 🧍🏽

they love grover so so much and would NEVER do anything to purposefully make him uncomfortable or feel like a third wheel. but… it’s also percy and annabeth. they kinda have no chill when they’re around each other. zero sensible thoughts happening. it’s pretty much just “wow he/she looks so good right now” all the dam time. and yes, i also know that annabeth mentioned they faced danger on the trip, but that only seems to make percy and annabeth MORE down bad for each other. like remember in tartarus, aka LITERAL HELL, when they were suffering the worse pain and trauma imaginable, and percy’s only thoughts were how annabeth looked like a “hot barbarian princess?” they are literally the worst. i love them for it, but oh my goddess

So I was reading your posts about Percy and Annabeth having kids, and I just can’t see them actually birthing the baby. I could see more adoption for them. Mainly because I don’t think they’d physically be able to produce children. They went through Tartarus, that’s bound to have some kind of effect (affect? I never know which one to use) on the human body. But I just wanted to hear your opinion!

you see, i understand where you’re coming from. and as someone with a medical brain, i can absolutely see tartarus causing them issues like that. and honestly? i have always thought that there’s a good chance of percy and annabeth having a really hard time getting pregnant for the first time. like it taking 2-3 years.

but after all they’ve been through, i simply refuse to believe they don’t ever get that. i’m not against them adopting, but we’ve seen percy daydream about having a kid that looks like him and annabeth. i think being able to have a baby together would be a really big deal for them. they’ve wanted children for so long. and taking away the ability to bear children, for annabeth to be unable to become pregnant, feels too cruel. it’s too fucking cruel.

and while it’s true some of the gods don’t like percy and annabeth, a lot of them do. in fact, i’d say more than half of the olympians really like them. plus, the gods owe them. big time. dionysus is the god of fertility. he may pretend he doesn’t care about percy and annabeth, but we’ve seen that he secretly does. i think he def has a soft spot for annabeth. so i believe dionysus would secretly help them out. and even if he doesn’t, apollo is the god of healing, his son the god of medicine, and he considers percy a friend. he can help them too

so while i see where you are coming from, and i think adopting is wonderful (and maybe they still will!), i think taking away their ability to create children together is too cruel. it’s something that many real life couples go though. it’s devastating. and adoption is a beautiful, magical thing. adopted children are just as much your children as bio children. but after what percy and annabeth have faced, their past, their insecurities, their limitations, the idea of them not even being able to make a baby just feels… evil. it would destroy them. so even if tartarus took that from them, and if they struggle for a few years, i truly believe the gods would help them out

annabeth's childhood was bad. Everybody knows it they all know what happened they all know the found family that became her tragedy. They know. But do they really ? The jackson family and the chase family know that annabeth might have suffered more than they know. Annabeth has never spoken a word of those months between her first leaving home with nothing but a hammer and meeting luke and thalia with a now new dagger in hand. She stayed tight lipped about those months where she had nothing but herself and her mother's voice. It drives Percy crazy.

yeah it’s crazy to think that there is probably so much that we, and the people in her life, don’t know. i’m sure she’s told percy nearly everything behind the scenes, but i bet no one else knows the entire story. i can see thalia being the one to tell people, including percy, stories from her point of view and people just being heartbroken

i really hope rick dives into percy’s feelings on her childhood more in future books. even if it’s just a few comments. i want to know how he really feels.

Annabeth has a box of memontos from her childhood (inside there are strings, an old ad poster for a street food stand pictures of her luke and thalia, a picture of her and a young magnus, a children's book about greek mythology, an old owl plushy and and dusty worn out small hammer) Percy stumbles across it one day and breaks down

headcanon that percy and annabeth’s first baby’s favorite toy is a rubix cube. and when he’s an itty bitty baby, he just likes to hold it and wave it around and look at the colors. but then as he gets a little older, and you know, develops fine motor skills, he starts twisting it. he probably solves it for the first time when he’s like 1, which makes percy jump up and down over how genius his baby boy (OR GIRL @screenshotsonpinterest) is

and i don’t know why or when or how, but i know for a fact that at some point, that baby chucks that thing right at zeus. and it hits him square in the forehead. perfect shot.

What do you think Percy would focus on if he we was a firefighter? Do you think he’d focus more on Paramedic/EMT work or actual firefighting?

Also, my friend and I were talking about Leo adopting a child. What’s your opinion on this? We were thinking he’d do this if he ended up single:)

for percy, i think his focus would definitely be on the actual firefighting. the reason he’s so good for the job is because of how strong and fast he is, how quick he thinks on his feet and in dangerous situations, and because he’s burn resistant. he wouldn’t be bad at the EMT stuff at all, but i think he’d definitely be more about the physical rescue rather than the medicine (but of course he’ll have to do the medical stuff anyway)

as to leo adopting a child… it’s very cute! i like the thought of him not needing a partner! maybe it’s just me, and this is just my own personal hc, but i don’t see leo having kids. not because he wouldn’t be a great parent - cause he’d be a great parent - but i just don’t think he would want to be a parent. part of it just personal preference, part of it because of his past, and part of it because having a demigod child, even a legacy, is scary as hell. and for some people, like percy and annabeth who are in a loving and committed relationship and have both always wanted children, the fear aspect is far outweighed by the happiness. but for leo, who’s never expressed any desire to have kids, i don’t think it’s something he wants bad enough. but he’s gonna be the best and most fun uncle ever!

again, that’s just my own personal hc. now, if leo did have kids, i do really like the thought of him adopting. so if he were to be a parent, im team adopt!

everybody knows that on the 13th of July Annabeth Chase is never around she vanishes to gods know where. This has confused Percy for years why would annabeth leave the day after her birthday ? When frederick and ms chase learn of this they flinch Percy forces them to tell what they know and they admit that it's the day Annabeth ran away... Sally slapped them after that and no matter how hard her loved ones tried Annabeth never stayed during that day.

because here’s the thing. logically, it makes sense for annabeth to do it. she’s the architect. she knows how things work and how they’re built. but i can see percy insisting. he would use the excuse “you’re doing enough carrying our child,” but the real reason is because he feels helpless watching annabeth have to do everything, and he wants to do everything he can. as her husband, but also as the baby’s father. his father wasn’t present growing up, so percy would want to be the most hands on dad he could be. from the moment they find out they’re expecting.

I feel like so many people understate how important Annabeth and Percy’s relationship to each other is. People tend to view it as just a romantic relationship but it’s not. Their each other’s best friend, life partners, war partners, family, and very literal soul mates. People rarely find a significant other with two of those aspects let alone all of them.

i agree completely. that’s why i loved that line in HoH when annabeth said that ‘boyfriend’ wasn’t a good enough word for percy because he’s so much more than that to her. as she said herself, he’s part of her. and she’s part of him. they aren’t just boyfriend and girlfriend. although they do love each other romantically/sexually and have a ton of chemistry and attraction towards each other, they also are best friends in the whole world. percy says many times in pjo that annabeth is his best friend, even when they’re fighting. they have the best time together. they want to do everything together. they are besties. their friendship is incredibly strong.

i also feel like people underestimate what it means to be battle partners. they trust each other in life or death situations. they know each other’s moves. they know what the other can take. they’ve experienced so much fear and pain and stress together. they’ve carried the weight of the world on their shoulders together. multiple times. literally and figuratively. being battle partners means that they have a level of trust and admiration that can only come from that kind of partnership.

she doesn’t even hesitate to ask him first to come with her, and he doesn’t even hesitate to say yes. but it’s also like that in every book. if they are going on an adventure, they are going together

the thing about percy and annabeth is that they aren’t just meant to be together. i mean they are, and if soulmates are real in rick’s world, then they are 100% soulmates. but it’s not just fate. its choice. they choose each other. every day. to be their best friend. to be their lover. to be their battle partner. to be their confidant. with the life they got handed, they don’t get a lot of choices. they don’t get to choose what their life looks like. or their future. the minute their godly parents gave them life, they lost the the ability to choose a lot of things for themselves. but percy and annabeth choose each other. every dam time. and that’s what i love about them

anyway sorry for rambling, but i completely agree. they are each other’s everything. words can’t explain how much they mean to each other
