Ethical Note of the Day for the Tickle Folks:

Today's topic is about boundaries in regards to what roles we play. I have seen numerous people on here that specifically say that they are strictly (or at least strongly prefer) to be either only the Lee or only the Ler. I feel like there's an epidemic of people trying to pressure others into one of the roles that they may not enjoy. If you look at this objectively, pushing or pressuring someone to do something that they may not prefer is a huge red flag that shouldn't be ignored.

Personally, I'm a switch. I absolutely love tickling, and I would never turn down the opportunity to be tickled. However, if one of my play-partners has a preference for one or the other, that's what we do.

For example, most of the women with which I have had tickle sessions, were strongly lee-leaning and maybe two strict Lees. There is nothing wrong with that. I happily tickled them because I wanted the session to be fun for us both and just have this time together to fully be ourselves and embrace this kink.

However, it is rare to be the Lee with anyone other than my wife. Sometimes with tickle-friends, they'll either just want to try being the Ler for the first time, or they offer to do it. The ones that offer (though not all of them), sometimes it feels like they are obligated to do so on my end. I see their eyes, and I watch faces a lot during sessions, and I see that they may not get into it as much. For that reason, I don't understand why people would push someone to do something they don't like. I have a hard enough time feeling like I'm just being tickled by someone who's not enjoying themselves as well.

In short, pressuring someone to switch roles when they are not into it is borderline sketchy at best. It just makes a session awkward and ruins the fun. The roles that you want should be discussed beforehand. There is nothing wrong with just being the Ler or just the Lee. If that's what you want, ask first and make sure everyone is on the same page. Apply this same logic to your online interactions whether it's just saying hi, RP, or meeting up. Always respect boundaries.
