Lily's timeline

How old is Lily in [X] expansion, followed by events in his life and how old he was during those. I have written it out more clearly with some extra things, since the original screenshot is just notes for myself lol. Also! The expansions INCLUDE patch quests unless stated otherwise.

TL;DR More than 10 years.

A Realm Reborn - 2 Years

Age: 25 → 27 The banquet takes place roughly two years after the beginning of ARR, Lily returns to Ul'dah due to spending half a year away for work. Roughly a year into ARR, Haurchefant and Lily starts flirting. By the end of ARR, people assume they're dating, but they aren't yet..

Heavensward - Less than 1 year

Age: 27 → 28 Haevensward takes place for around ten months, definitely less than a year. Haurchefant and Lily start dating shortly after they first arrive in Ishgard. Lily's nameday happens during this time, but has so much to think about he forgets. Becomes severely depressed after the Vault. This is also when Alphinaud, Tataru, Y'shtola, and Thancred learns about Lily's past.

Stormblood - Around 3 years

Age: 28 → 31 The liberation of both Ala Mihgo and Doma takes roughly three years. During this time, Lily doesn't feel any accomplishment despite his contribution. Accidentally yells at the Scions in an outburst of emotions. Lily apologizes but continues to bottle up his emotions (foreshadowing).

Shadowbringers - (Source) 3 months / (First) 2 years

Age: 31 → 31 (33) Barely three months pass on the Source, but Lily spends almost 2 years on the First. Something about the Exarch felt familiar to him, but decided to not ask questions as he, himself, also held quiet about some things. Dislikes him. Resents being called a hero or the Warrior of Light/Darkness, as he fails to understand how he couldn't even save those he loves the most, his village, Haurchefant, and by some extension Tsuyu. Ends up yelling at the Exarch to stop speaking his praises when he doesn't even know who or what he has done. Ends up in a loud argument with Alisaie. Alphinaud talks to her, and Thancred and Ryne goes to talk with Lily. The two end up talking and Alisaie brings hope into Lily's life for the first time in over five years.

Endwalker - 2 years

Age: 33 → 35 The Main story takes around a year. Patch quests are roughly a little over a year, including the time on the first and thirteenth. Before the Final Days, Lily regains hope in protecting his friends and family. If not for Hydaelyn's Blessing, he fears what would have become of him. Meeting Haurchefant in the aetherial stream causes him a large amount of distress, but is eventually able to continue on. Admires Zero and thinks she's cool.

Post-Endwalker* - Roughly 4 years.

*I started playing after Endwalker, around summer 2021 or 2022, so this was my first real time wait, hence why the time between EW and DT is so long. Age: 35 → 39 Lily gets to go home and spend time with his siblings who're all grown-up now and that makes him very emotional. He worries about how long they will be able to spend together, as he is afraid of becoming lonely without them, but in the end finds peace in knowing they are becoming fine adults who can live more peaceful lives than he.

Dawntrail

Age: 39 → The Rite of Succession only takes a few weeks. The Time spend on the other shards is also minimal, so only about a month or two passes. During the Solution Nine shenanigans, I also imagine only a few months pass, so perhaps 7.0 to 7.1 has taken around five and a half months? (I haven't played 7.2 yet)

Life Events

Born → 15 years: Lived in Golmore jungle, fled with four other survivors after the empire invaded and killed his village. 13 years → 15 years: Wood-warder training. He wasn't very good, but his mentor was too kind.

15 years → 18 years: Lived outside Ul'dah's walls, among the Ala Mhigo refugees, constantly looking for ways to earn coin. 16 years → 20 years: Employed by an older lalafellian grandpa who helped him form connections to other merchants. Has worked independently since 20, doing various odd jobs. 17 years → 21 years: Working as a performer at night club, which doubled as an escort house, he was exclusively a dancer and he still had his day jobs. There he met a Veena by the name 'Doll' who eventually talked him out of working there.

21 years → 24 years: Doll forced Lily to quit his night job and recommended him to join the adventures guild instead, but Lily decides to just continue working at Ul'dahs markets until he turned 24. 24 years: He joins the adventurers guild and gets recruited by Cocobuki as an apprentice Thaumaturge. They had always showed interest in him due to his aether.

25 years → Present: WoL duties.

Lily Oh'fally, was originally born in the outskirts of the Golmore Jungle, but was forced to flee after Dalmasca, and subsequently his small village, was lost to the Empire. Together with 4 other vieran kits, he ended up in Thanalan where he has lived every since. During his time among the Ala Mhigan refugees, an older lalafellian merchant took Lily as an assistance and eventually the two became like Grandfather and son. Without the merchant, Lily would have neither work nor roof above his head. He's mostly known for his gentle and kind personality, appearing strong in both mind and body, though, a seemingly melancholy air always hangs about him.

Lily chose his city name without knowing it is a name mostly used for women.

He loves to dance and move his body.

His body is strong and build for function over form.

His ears bend forward instead of backward, reducing his hearing slightly for viera standards, but it's still well above hyur, roe, etc.

He has paw-like feet, calloused toe beans, and an upward pointing tail. Moles also dot various places on his body.

During his free time he will still be keeping busy with work of some kind, as inactivity makes him anxious.

His circadian rhythm if fairly strong and tend to rise and rest with the sun, so in environments were sunlight is sparse, like Ishgard, he tend to become sluggish.

Lily's favorite color is purple. I dress him in Regal Purple / Metallic Red most of the time.

Genuinely interested: Haurchefant? 👀

It must've been love at first sight, I would like to believe so. Seeing him stumble into Camp Dragonhead in attire less than suited for the weather, I couldn't help but take notice in his demeanour. Not only had he already caused a stir by selflessly helping out those who had welcomed him with unfriendly manners, he continued to show his kindness as our time together increased. His polite mannerisms that clashed delightfully with his rough vernacular, yet gentle tone. His body language made him feel smaller than he was, and he seemed to hide himself away when around me at first. His muscular body hidden away beneath cottons felt like a waste, would that I could dress him in form fitting attire, or bind him with nay but a ribbon, a presentation of his beautiful figure and a feast for mine own enjoyment. But I digress. Lily seemed ignorant to his own beauty, not only in looks, but behaviour as well. Lovely, through and through, he is. The lonely gap that had been carved in his heart, was one I swore to fill. Our time together grew, and our distance to each others hearts shrank. With this ring, commissioned to bear our names and show us bound as one, I will swear to be by your side even should our distance grow. Let me be the one to help you love yourself, as much as I love you.

Admittedly, he did not strike me as particularly... 'Independent' at first, more so a follower as he seemed to tag along and do whatever the Scions asked of him, and what other task was thrust onto him by what I can only assume to be strangers. Without complaint he would help anyone who asked. Nor did it help as I happened to catch him struggle to read. Labels and books both, though if that was why he was quick to grab my attention, I would not say so. The name "Lily Oh'fally" is uncommon for a man and like I, he was not originally from the city either, though I would later come to learn of the events that brought him to one. A much tragic tale for someone that young.

Our paths would continue to cross and I found myself someone reliable, familiar perhaps, as he like I, found difficulty in expressing himself. "Everyone is relying on me..." He has a family, though not by blood, he cares for. He can navigate markets like a seasoned merchant, yet could not write his own name mere moons ago. He's formidable in battle, but prefer not having to fight at all. He had a lover he still counts among the stars, even after they've passed on. Though many only know him as a Warrior, a Hero, or anything under that category, he is still just a person...
