Thinking again about how Xie Lian didn’t fail Xianle because it wasn’t a test but a trap. Every decision in that arc was manipulated to make the war as cruel and soul-destroying as possible. BWX failed his kingdom, and he saw a similarity in XL. So he orchestrated every single moment of that downfall, pulling multiple puppet strings from 5 different angles and adding consequences to XL that only he had the power to hand out. Like he didn’t lose because he was arrogant or naive or wrong he lost because it there was genuinely no way he coulda won. It wasn’t a test it was a trap.

Favorite colors: I like a lot of colors, really, usually it’s just certain shades of colors more than others, heh.. I like blues, whites, greens, certain shades of purple, red, gold, and cream. Predominantly, at least.

There’s a lot of lore that goes with it, so I’ll try to summarize so it makes sense without turning into a word vomit. Essentially, the band that Hua Cheng and He Xuan were in together split and it was pretty messy, Hualian get married and they reconcile with He Xuan at the wedding etc. Years and years later there’s a video or something of a small acoustic concert where they do a lot of covers. XL and SQX are standing in the wings looking absolutely besotted with their husbands etc. Anyway, there’s comes a moment where HC and HX sing a duet of the song The Garden by Byrne and Kelly (an absolutely beautiful song by the way) and someone is cutting onions. That’s all.

Just destroyed my emotions thinking of an au that I made. I have no one to blame for the emotional damage but myself-

I’m really happy with how this one turned out! It took me.. a very long time, heh-

It almost cost me my sanity. It nearly took me out.

But was it worth it? Yes. Absolutely.

Crazy take, hear me out (realistically it’s probably not that crazy, but you understand what I mean…)

Hua Cheng is not a mean dude. He just has a low tolerance for idiocy (and by idiocy…………..). If you’re a chill person, he’d most likely return the vibe. Like Pong but with vibes.

Similarly, Ri (or the medicine seller from the 2007 series) is also not really a mean guy. He also just has a low tolerance for idiocy. After all, he has a job to do. If you aren’t an idiot, and show an interest in what he’s doing/are not very close minded, he’s actually quite a chill guy. For the most part. I’d argue even going beyond what we clearly see shown in the series.

I just thought of this in a state of sleep deprivation, but to my tired mind it was.. eye opening.

What's your favorite fruit?

Oooooh, this is a good question!!! I actually have a list of fruits that I really enjoy, because frankly I find it hard to pick a favorite- so here’s a few! I like peaches, pears, dragonfruit, passion fruit, mango, figs, etc etc, the list goes on. It would frankly be easier to ask what fruits I don’t like, hehe. Thank you for the question!
