no joke, seeing the rpd in the re9 trailer motivated me to draw. of course it had to be re2r claire and leon. (still trying to figure out the favor claire is asking leon) (would have been easier if it was infinite darkness cause chip lol)

i know tumblr has like a handful of cleons but last year in july, my friend and i hosted an event called cleon song week and next month marks one year since hosting. it’s an event dear to me and i also really like the idea so i was wondering if anyone would be interested in a rerun of that event this year :0

at the same time i think there has been lesser cleon content compared to last year so idk if a cleon event would fly again 😭😭

it was most definitely to protect her ! i mean claire literally got kidnapped at the start of infinite darkness snooping around in the white house and leon almost lost her to that acid. not to mention the things that happened while shen mei tried to expose them too her mansion got attacked and she later lost her life to jason. he knows how dangerous the government is and claire becoming a target of the government may also mean that claire could be a potential target of his too. since he works for them. we all know he’d never want to harm her so it’s better for him to deny her the chip without explanation.

they did go their separate ways but i believe claire had also “cut him off” because she trusts leon despite being disappointed with his decision. after all leon was the same person back in raccoon city who told claire to expose the truth about raccoon city incident and fast forward to infinite darkness, she’s trying to expose the government’s involvement in bioterrorism. they’ve always had a very trusting relationship (even in infinite darkness their relationship is labeled “relationship of trust”) and i think that if claire really thought leon keeping the chip would do more harm than good, she wouldn’t have accepted his decision so easily and fought to have it.

also no hate, i just love cleon lol and their relationship in infinite darkness is on my mind all the time.

post infinite darkness leon who likes it when claire lies on top of him because that way he can feel that she’s really safe in his arms. it kind of happens one night when claire joins him in bed, playfully jumping onto him for a hug. obviously he’s the one who invited her for one.

for a moment his mind rushes with thoughts about about how he was so very close to losing her to the rising acid. their hands so close yet not close enough, the way their hands finally grasp the other’s, and claire’s weight falling on top of him as he pulls her to safety.

leon lies there and his arms tighten around her, claire’s warmth gradually spreading though the blankets and reaching leon’s skin through his clothes. he’s reassured. he saved her in time and she’s there with him.

claire doesn’t seem to realize it at all. leon’s always been a little clingy and physically affectionate. but then he does it a second time, maybe a third or forth. eventually claire realizes he’s making sure she’s protected.

resident evil (specifically cleon) alchemy of souls au...?

i'm rewatching alchemy of souls season 2 for the third time and i really just love the 'lovers who can't recognize each other' trope going on. of course it's a little more complex in the kdrama because cho yeong's appearance in season 2 is different to season 1 but i would love to see that with cleon... so like maybe a cleon alchemy of souls au (but also not exactly. i'm really just here for the lovers who can't recognize each other trope).

ignoring the relationship dynamic and how different the leads personalities are to claire and leon: - season 1 jang uk and mudeok as re2r cleon - season 2 jang uk and cho yeong as infinite darkness or death island cleon

(mudeok and cho yeong are the same people for those who have never seen aos but is interested in whatever i'm saying here. i was gonna explain but like throughout this series cho yeong goes by like 4 different names and that's not really relevant right now)

not sure HOW we'd go about claire and leon not recognizing each other or memory loss plot device though. easiest way to string this all together is to blame it on some sort of virus. i'll think of it again later. hmu if you want to discuss i guess.
