(they didn't show it in the anime because this arc didn't happen in it, but they DO show it in the Soul Eater Not anime if you wanna watch it (it's a short soul ester spin off)- there's a Meister called Kim who's revealed to be a witch both in SEN and in the manga. I'm 99% sure I remember her and Jackie doing Soul Resonance as well)

I've watched + read all of soul eater (they're different) (VERY different) so if you have any question regarding that I would be honored to answer (for instance, if you want to do something with these- Witches can, in fact, be Meisters, including Soul Resonance and everything) (also, being a Death Scythe allows shapeshifting in Weapon form)

I love all your takes I can't lie these are all so fun. when you mentioned Jumper as a chain+movement weapon I INSTANTLY thought of a fucking. yo-yo. I know you've already drawn her and she looks awesome but if you ever feel like making her a yo-yo that grows spikes know that it will be funny as fuck. to me

you also mentioned being unsure for Zam- persionally I've always seen that guy as a rapier. not sure why. something about nobleity and how it can look like a ray of sunlight if you have the eyes to see

AND you mentioned Rek and in my mind I cannot seperate that man from anvils??? but also you're 100% correct on him being a trap type of weapon so please hear me out: heavy ass bear trap.that's it that's my pitch. thank you for listening

rn in my head the witches are midmystic (cmon guys its literally in her name) and vitalasy (idk cause vibes) (thats how i categorize most these guys its based off vibes)

also GUYS i might draw jumper as a yoyo eventually because thats SO funny i love that. idk maybe the weapon on the edge of her chain can shapeshift if she wants but maybe not spikes because i feel like thats too close to yungy?? GUYS REK i like bear trap rek but honestly ive been thinking about it and you could do something with the tunnel rat thing and the paranoia type thing (white torture) and the farming melons and stuff and i just I DONT KNOW GUYS i watch his videos the most i cant come up with ANYTHINGG!! SO THESE GUYS theyre the mcs guys theyre the maka and soul of this au to me because i think the dynamic is so fun and kinda juvenile it makes sense to me they would fit the kinda rookie upcoming student type of role.. idk!! maybe they're recovering as a duo from the in universe betrayal or something!!

spoke's a big ass hammer, i dont know it just feels right to me? it was either him being a big hammer or a big mace and i think both of them are fun but i just think a big hammer fits him better... there's nothing much i can say i just think theyre silly

i think they're super silly. they're really silly guys. they're also up and coming students at dwma yayy! i like to think they're in sync and rely on each other nicely but also they break up in the hallways like once a week...

yungy has such a cool kinda theme with the spider thing so... i made him into a glorified weed cutter... no actually i was thinking of revving up a lawn mower when drawing his weapon.. because if u pull on one of the spider legs attached to the base it revvs up the blades and turns it into energy... yes...

some stuff here might not be possible in the soul eater universe... ive kinda only watched around 10 episodes MY BAD GUYS correct me if possible

so im gonna talk about my first few pairings :3

flame and mane:

SO rn they pull a liz and patty in the fact that they're both weapons that are able to wield each other because something something family bond. in an in world context they would be really well known students cause they're both about to become death scythes WITH NO MEISTER!! theyre simply better like that trust me guys. flame is a bit more ahead in souls though!!

i made flame a scythe that can light on fire because... it feels to obvious. the blade is also made out of obsidian!!

mane is a pair of gloves that have claws attached to them, they can extend to be reaallly long but mane doesn't do it that much cause then the material gets less sturdy and its harder for flame to defend :P

i like to think sometimes they switch mid battle depending if they need more long or short range damage, in this au they grew up together so they're super in sync

minute and jumper:

if u had to choose a meister and weapon duo that are THE duo in this au i think they're it... i think they're associated with death and dwma but mostly they go out on their own missions away from the academy and just pop in every once in a while. minute and jumper have a lot of trust in each other since they've been working together for a long time, their souls are very in sync!!

i wanted a more agile flingy weapon for jumper so she's basically a chain with a weapon attached to the end, the fighting style is based a lot on momentum and wide arches and if needed minute can use the weapon at the end for closer combat. she's also a death scythes!! shes too goated not to be!!

clown and branzy:

they're both teachers at dwma!! clown is the kinda teacher to do those on field tests that death does to test maka and soul, like the zombie teacher stein thing. it's horrible. branzy actually gives helpful lectures though!! they're kind of past the days where they used to kill a bunch of kishin and work together a lot, but when a big threat comes up and they have to go on field WOW its great.

branzy is a longsword that can accumulate energy into those slashes that can shoot out ifykwim. if u didnt see in the drawing earlier it has his little tattoo he has on his minecraft skin on the blade... also the handle has amethyst on it!! the blade is also super shiny like... it glows in the dark like his old man white hair.

misc:

ive been debating making sb737 either an excalibur type situation or making him death. i think both are equally as funny. he cant be anything else i can not physically draw him as a human he's just a penguin to me.

rekrap is also a justin law type situation in the fact i want him to be a lone weapon as well as a trap setter, im not exactly sure what type of trap!!

ive also been thinking about what kind of weapon i want zam to be, i was thinking something something light energy lightsaber ahhh stuff but i dont know it doesnt quite feel right??
