Atomic Heart

So @lapsedpacifist printed some resin minis for me, and I have started painting. I am not familiar with Atomic Hearts, which is where this figure is from, but I loved the vibe, so I wanted to paint her. I say paint, but I've actually used inks for this. And a little watercolor paint.

Go go #YareliPrime! Yareli is my favorite frame, and probably the one I've drawn more than any other than Arthur. Can't wait for her prime.

I am positive that Kaya (and Quincy) are Stray Kids fans…so I had to draw Kaya in the opening position for Chk Chk Boom (both have a dialogue line with "click click boom" Yep, that's all it took for my brain to say "They're Stays!")

Today's #mermay painting is based on Yeji from Itzy. She is done on Fabriano hot-pressed watercolor paper in Ocean Blue from the Art Philosophy's Currents palette. Highlights in blue are from the Art Philosophy metallic pastels palette.

For Moth May, these are two of the prompts. The mothman is done with scarlet tiger moth wings, while the moth maiden is done with scarce forester moth wings. He is done in graphite on Bristol vellum, she is done on Fabriano hot-pressed paper in green-grey from the Kuretake Art Nouveau palette.

Mermay Day 2. Continuing with KPop mermaids, today using NingNing from Aespa as a pose reference. The portrait is done on Fabrizio hot-pressed watercolor paper in greyish-blue paint from the Kuretake Art Nouveau palette.

Arthur and Drifter, redux

The top image I'd originally planned to submit for Tennocon 2025, but then worried about the implied nudity. So I did the bottom image (NYE kiss)...TWICE because I forgot to record a timelapse or take WIP shots the first time through. I repainted and recorded it this morning, only for a unanimous jury of my partners thinking the one in graphite red is the better image. And reminded me that Warframe players are a horny lot anyway, so implied nudity isn't necessarily a problem.

So I submitted the first one. These are both done in watercolor on Fabrizio hot-pressed watercolor paper. Both are done in Derwent tinted graphite: top in Port, bottom in Graphite Grey. With a bit of actual pencil work on the bottom one to sharpen some details.

Finished Eleanor this morning :) Yes, I need to do the rest of the Hex. I felt guilty drawing so much of Arthur and nothing of anyone else. I blame Ben Starr (Arthur's VA)
