started playing cyberpunk 2077 and i’m dying at the severe lack of x male v fics out there and am about ready to take matters into my own hands. i have a couple ideas, which should i tackle first? i’ve got a note with my ideas below before voting.

nobody is clocking how gemma definitely thinks that hellyna is the supposed wife that she was told mark had gotten two years after she “died.” she thinks he really moved on with his life when he kills himself 8 hours a day every day just to be able to cope with losing her. gemma does not know how much mark really loves her, how much he risked, what he did to himself at the idea of seeing her ever again.

sooooooooooooo many things to scream about tonight but number one on the list is the difference in the ways dylan and mark's outies talked to their innies. from the get-go mark scout is nothing but patronizing to mark s. he created mark s as an escape from his grief, and now he wants to use mark s as a means to an end to save his wife and pick up his life where he abandoned it. he gets helly's name wrong and calls her 'the person you're seeing' because he doesn't recognize mark s's humanity. he sees mark s as an extension of himself, and he only loves gemma, so of course whatever mark s feels for helly can't be real or worth fighting for. and when mark s understandably doesn't see it his way, mark scout lashes out, calling mark s a child.
but then you have the letter dylan george wrote to dylan g. in three paragraphs dylan george talks to his innie like an adult, like they are peers. he's angry at dylan g, but at the same time, he understands why dylan g did what he did. he would have done the same if he were in dylan g's place. after years of being jealous of his outie, dylan g learns that his outie thinks he (dylan g) is the one to emulate, the self-assured badass. and where helena and mark scout made their innie's decisions for them ("i am a person. you are not.") dylan george breaks the cycle: he offers his opinion, but ultimately puts the decision back in dylan g's hands.
at the end of this season, dylan g is gifted agency. and after fulfilling his purpose, mark s steals his agency back.

felicia telling irving the only time she ever saw burt scared was when he spent two hours fixing his hair before going to see him,,,,,, irving drawing burt over and over between the times he could see him,,,,,, felicia hugging irving the second she saw him, having lunch with him and telling him stories,,,,,,, irving's getting the "widow that's still loved by the family" treatment by o&d as he rightfully deserved

irving said “fuck all of you”, stormed off into the dark woods with a torch, fell asleep on a rock and dreamt about his crush, woke up, nearly drowned a woman, got helly back, and got himself fired/removed from existence all within a span of like 9 hours

the evolution of irving b, someone who once worshipped lumon, chastising any criticism or harsh word directed towards them, to dragging the daughter of the lumon ceo by the collar and waterboarding her all in the name of getting his friend back. character development of all time.

‘they fired me… i think they know what my innie was up to’
babes they fired you for being in love and waterboarding the boss that’s so much cooler than the goo you’ve been pulling

the scene in season 1 being so garden of eden-esque takes on even more meaning after all the wild theological world building of the latest episode.
and the fact that innie irving and burt are apparently “dead” is like… they’ve been exiled from the garden… i’m yelling

irving b fans our finest moment but at what cost. at WHAT COST. "I'm on the fucking ice" 67 year old man trekking through the wilderness with a cunty outfit and a dream. insisting they eat the montauk monster. being heterophobic towards mark and hellyna. nearly dying of hypothermia so he can see his boyfriend one last time in a terrifying prophetic dream. being the only one to have both the intuition and conviction to confront helena and do something about it. WATERBOARDING THE CEO'S DAUGHTER. and as soon as helly's back he's pulling her close to him and apologising and holding her because he loves her and he doesn't want to hurt her and he's sorry. staring down milchick totally fearless as he's sent to his death. owning the first frame last frame of the best episode of the season so far. and now what. now he's gone. the biggest thread of mystery left without anyone to chase it. outie irv being fired for the second time this week with no idea why. he gave everything for his team and for the truth and he fucking DIED for it!!!!! his old man yaoi swag too powerful they fucking KILLED HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm gonna be 90 years old and still thinking about this and having the wind punched out of me every time. I cannot believe they made him say that. so you've been walking around Half Starved, then? you've lived your whole life by all the right rules to avoid the mortifying embarassment of Wanting Things? you isolated yourself and betrayed your very nature in the hopes it'll fix something deep and broken in you? and you severed yourself hoping you could just Remove that part of you that Yearns? and then the version of you that knows nothing of that isolation, of that lifelong penance, achieved what you've been denying yourself all these years because Of Course He Did because he's not you without the craving he's just you without the guilt associated with the craving, and it didn't even help? it just made the need greater? knowing you were capable of it all along and you were punishing yourself for nothing and you offered that tender and unprotected part of you up like a sacrificial lamb to an uncaring god and now there's just two of you on the alter?
irving bailiff is Living Proof that severance does Not work as a form of emotional respite because his innie still craved everything he did and his innie still suffered for that the same way he would have had he pursued those desires and then he finds the man his innie loved on the outside and it only becomes even more apparent how starved he's been and how badly he wants someone. the compartmentalisation did not work at ALL he just doubled his needs and gave it to the next person. and Neither Of Them Got To Kiss Burt Goodman
