being sick & miserable objectively sucks, but it has become significantly easier to cope with since learning that “sickness behavior” is a well documented part of the body’s immune response

feeling not only physically but also emotionally like fucking garbage is unfortunately an extremely effective way to force your body to prioritize fighting infection & keeping you alive. i don’t have to like it, but knowing why i get weepy & pathetic when sick does help at least a little

THIS is why lucas is so good for max. because instead of blaming her for being upset, or treating her badly, he approaches his parents (a happily married couple) and asks honestly how to handle the situation. because he is so earnest and good and he wants to show max she can trust him. lucas is a goddamn king and we don't talk about it enough

i know so many of us have seen the set photos from the epilogue by now, but my sister pointed out something to me that i hadnt thought of

sometimes shows like to film multiple endings, or film scenes they know theyll never use, to prevent leaks like those from spoiling the ending of the show. apparently this is something Eastenders did loads when there was a big plot line coming to an end (a popular british soap opera). so now part of me is hesitant to fully believe leaked set photos.

maybe its something 🤷🏼‍♀️ since its such a huge show, they wouldnt want things spoiled so easily. but idk, this is my way of trying to convince myself i havent had things spoiled for me lmao

There’s a group of kids hanging around the pavilion downtown. Hopper notices it because it’s his job to notice stuff but that’s all he does.

He’s off duty. He’s with his kid.

What other people’s kids are getting up to is not his problem for the next two days.

“Don’t worry, I can ask,” He hears a recognizable voice ask and then a pull on his sleeve. 

He looks down to see Steve who looks back up at him, “Hi, Mr Hopper. Do you know what time the parade starts?”

Hopper does actually and tells the kid when he thinks the parade will roll through here. Steve thanks him and runs back over to the other kids.

That was a nice and simple conversation so why did he hear that kid say, “Oh, yeah. Thats Hopper. He’s always trying to be my friend. It’s weird.”

Fic where Eddie swears Hopper must have a sixth sense about him interacting with Steve. Every time he starts thinking that Steve’s questioning his sexuality enough to want to experiment, Hopper shows up and ruins the fun.

It gets to a point.

Eddie’s dealing out the back of Tina’s kitchen pantry and Steve is the only one in there with him, high and standing too close. He’s got a dream sort of cross-faded look to him and his eyes keep flickering to Eddie’s lips when - “Let’s break it up, boys.”

Hopper is standing in the now open doorway and Eddie blurts out his frustration like, “Stop being a cock block. I’m trying to get laid.”

“Dude,” Steve says. “That’s my dad.”

steve joining one of hellfire's dnd campaigns but not as a player character, instead he roleplays a cursed amulet the party finds in an evil wizard's lair and he gets blanket discretion to sabotage whoever is holding/wearing the amulet, but THE PLAYERS DON'T KNOW THIS because obviously they'd just try to throw away or destroy it so steve sits next to eddie and pretends to read a book, occasionally leaning over to whisper "spider hallucination" when mike rolls a 3 on a perception check
