Japanese Arcades
A staple in Japanese culture, Japanese Arcades are abundant through metropolitan areas of Japan. According to Kotaku, there are about 4,800 registered arcades in Japan as of the present day. Then you have about 9,000 that are small local arcades. That’s is a significant amount of arcades for such a small, but prosperous country. Back in the 80’s, they had about 44,000. If you think about it, that is a insane amount. The great thing about arcades is that in major cities like Tokyo and Osaka, they are near major transportation spots such as train stations. It is a great place to have some R&R after a rough day of work. Japanese work culture is pretty intense and working hard is a staple of their society. Having gaming machine readily available for a stressed worker can be highly beneficial. The aesthetic of Japanese arcades are iconic. The bright fluorescent colors with raunchy and adorable animations create an atmosphere of awe for those who visit the country of Japan. I highly recommend visiting Japanese arcades, it is an experience you most likely will not forget!

Mt. Fuji | 富士山
One of the most iconic mountains in the world. Mt. Fuji or Fuji-san is a gorgeous mountain located about 60 miles south-west of Tokyo. Mt. Fuji is an active volcano as well, and it last erupted around 1700’s. The mountains has an almost symmetrical cap, which is mostly filled with snow throughout the year. After researching, I found out that Mt. Fuji is apart of the group of the ‘Three Holy Mountains’. The landscape of Mt. Fuji has been displayed in multiple works of art throughout Japan and it is one of the monikers of the Land of the Rising Sun. Many words can describe this mountain, but what comes to my mind is ‘sublime’. To me, Mt. Fuji’s beauty is beyond what I have seen in our great planet Earth, and I cannot wait to see it in person one day.
