Announcement!!! [11/11]

Heyyyy everyone! I just wanted to give everyone an update as to what I’ve been up to lately! 

I started a new job last month! (^▽^) One with insurance and decent pay and everything! It’s small but has a nice chill atmosphere, and everyone’s been friendly and likable so far. It’s an IT job that only deals with contract customers, so I don’t have to deal with someone who doesn’t know what a hard drive is, so that’s a big upside.

The downside to this is my commute is so long it only gives me like 3 hours to myself after work, so all my writing is on the weekend (or snuck in here and there during the workday, shhh~) so until I pass my “introductory period” and find a decent place closer to work, any updates I make writing-wise will be even slower than before (っ- ‸ – ς)

Buuuut, I have an OFFICIAL announcement to make!!!

”The AtBoM Sequel”, aka “BtTTS:  Season 4” (or “season 4/S4” because it’s untitled atm) is in progress!!! .ﾟ☆(ノё∀ё)ノ☆ﾟ. I want to have a lot done before I even start posting, so you guys seeing it is a ways off. I’ve got the basic story plot planned and about half of the opening chapter written, plus some sprinkles of things here and there. I’ve got some great ideas, so I’m super excited for you guys! And me, because I get to write it!! We’re gonna have a damn ball!!! It’s gonna be so fun!!!!

Season 4 will contain some cool junk I would (personally) like to have seen in a future BtTTS game, like “playing” as another character for a while, bringing back spoilery things from previous seasons, and, of course, the release of our boy John!!! Oh, and Selina’s gonna be back too. I felt a little bad not finding an area to squeeze her in during Season 3, considering she was in both canon seasons, but…she just wasn’t relevant enough to the Crane plot to be included. :T But now she is! For reasons I can’t tell you yet! I’ve never written her before, so that ought to be interesting… 

Oh, and I’ve got a nsfw ‘alternate take’ of a scene in At the Brink of Midnight that I might post here, just for you guys…if you’re interested? Like you gotta say so please, i don’t wanna just post it unprompted… (I wrote it shortly after finishing atbom, it was like a ‘hahaha but imagine’ kinda day ok don’t judge me)

And for like the two people here that read A Ghost Too Far, it is stiiiiill being written, but I swear it’s like trying to roll a rock uphill most days. I got great ideas for what I want to happen, but like 0 motivation despite some great imagery in my head!  (;_;) Muse, y u do dis… I’m forcing myself to work on it today! On a related note, I really want to start posting it here this month, so if you don’t want to see/read it, just block [ #agtf ] - I’ll always always always tag the chapters with it. If you don’t know what agtf is, it’s a very nsfw Harry Potter fic that puts Peeves the Poltergeist with an original female character, and the whole plot revolves around studying Peeves’ lore and expanding on it. 

LASTLY……my birthday is on Friday, and I’ll be 28… Idk how to deal with it…

hey kent! I was wondering if you know if there was ever any plans for a season 3 of telltale batman before ttg went bankrupt, and if there was is there anything you can say about it? I love that game a whole lot and i’m so sad to see it won’t get to be continued. still love your work on it though and i’m glad we even got a second season!

There were never real plans for a season 3. The team very casually kicked some ideas around for what it might be, but we knew with the direction the studio was headed and all the other titles on the roster, it was highly unlikely we’d return to Gotham again and if we ever did it would be years in the future. Telltale was about to try and move away from the various issues that come with doing big name licensed games, and Batman (despite it being awesome) didn’t make enough money to justify the cost of producing it.

We knew this going into S2s ending, and wanted to make it feel like it could be an ending to the series. I’m pretty happy with how it ends. It doesn’t tie up every loose end but Bruce and Alfred’s arc that started in S1 ends in S2 exactly how we intended. (and that joker shit got as gay as I could possibly make it)

Also ask me sometimes about my bonkers idea for a playable Robin season that I would NEVER be allowed to make in a million years :P
