The two had made their way to the palace garden, Macaria halting darling Melite just inside the outer entrance. “Shhh.” she shushes, leading her to hide among the plants while she ran inside to grab something from her room to help Melite hide in plain sight.

“Oh- please be careful Mac.” Melite warns, staying put as she watches the little goddling give a curt wave before disappearing into the palace itself. this was dangerous, and risky, and she was only here all because poor Macaria wanted her to see where she lived.

“Macaria are you Certain this will work? what if Charon finds us? or your Brother Zagreus?” Melite asks as she follows Macaria, hand in hand as the two walk the banks of the styx to avoid the beloved Cerberus sitting at the gates of hell.

There’s a giggle from the goddling as she leads her dear Melite deeper into hell. sure it might be a little while to get the Palace, but She’d seen Zagreus do this countless times to get out, who’s to say they couldn’t get in a similar way, and maybe even quicker as Papa hadn’t ordered anyone to stop her.

“Oh Macaria, Are you sure that would be a such good idea? What about your family? won’t they be upset?” the redhead wondered aloud, only to have Macaria shush her into silence. if young Melite spoke too loudly the two were sure to get caught, who knew who or what was listening

“Shhh” She repeats herself once more, a smile still on her face, and a finger to her lips. Little Macaria had heard the stories, heroes and poets alike making their way into the underworld for a bevy of reasons, some coming out alive, and one of those tales being about love as well!!

this would work swimmingly as long as Papa didn’t learn about what the two were up to. But for now, Mac only wanted to watch the clouds. She pats the ground next to her to invite Melite to join her in watching them. They could talk about their little ‘break-in’ later.
