the past, present, & future of cglre

recently i’ve seen many people use cglre’s roots and past as a way of wrongfully labelling our community, so i’d like to make this post and hopefully clear up any misconceptions that people have. please note that i am not a founder or admin of cglre, nor have i been in the community since it’s creation, i’m just speaking from what i’ve seen & gathered from others who have been in the community since it’s founding. 

please read the entire post before making any comments and please be respectful. you can add your own opinions but i will not respond to any that are blatantly hateful or ignore the information already given in this post. 

the past cglre was founded around july 2016. the community originally defined itself as “a branch of sfw, nonkink c/gl focused on regression.” the community was created for those who were age regressors switching from k!nk but still felt comfortable using terms like little & littlespace. 

around this time was when adults in k!nk were getting very frustrated with minors in their communities, and discourse was sparked. most of the minors in these adult communities realized they weren’t participating in it sexually or viewing it as anything sexual, and thus the age regression community was formed. it was a safe haven for those who wrongfully identified with k!nk communities & needed a new and safer community. terms and technicality aside, yes, that is the root of the agere community.

during this time there was a lot of confusion and discourse between communities. everything was very new and people were trying to find where they belonged and started setting community lines. c/gl was wrongfully seen as a sfw community due to the lack of the word “d0m” in the title. the label was commonly used amongst age regressors because it described their age regression / caregiver dynamic. more discourse surfaced, adults in k!nk were again frustrated since c/gl was infact a k!nk community and just the gender neutral form of d/d/lg. cglre then underwent changes & dropped their “sfw nonkink c/gl” definition and stopped using the sfw c/gl tag. most members of cglre added c/gl to their dni.

the agere community at this point was quite messy due to communities like ch!re and cglre clashing, crosstagging, dni’s, boundaries, drama between mods in communities, and on and on. it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what happened within the community between late 2016-2017 due to the amount of drama, however this is when most people set their boundaries and settled down into their respective communities. sadly, many members of the agere community were forced to quit and leave due to harassment and discourse. many people were guilt tripped and bullied into leaving communities like cglre. they were forced to believe cglre was unsafe even though they personally didn’t feel that way. this has given people biased and wrongful views of cglre that have stuck around even today. 

somewhere around late 2017 the original cglre blog became inactive. the founder & mods had simply disappeared. nobody really knew what happened but around this point the community became very quiet. a couple of cglre members decided to take over and create a new cglre blog. this is when the community went under major renovation. at this point cglre had disconnected itself from k!nk entirely, started making positivity and educational posts on why cglre has nothing to do with k!nk, and entirely rebranded the community. this is the cglre we know & accept today.

the present currently the cglre community has 1000+ active members and is still growing. cglre is under entirely new moderation and ownership. cglre is now defined as a “sfw, nonkink, minor friendly age regression community.” it stands alone from k!nk and is recognized as it’s own community, not a subset of c/gl. you do not have to call yourself a little or use littlespace to be a part of the community. cglre has several community tags that you can pick & choose which you feel comfortable using. cglre is inclusive, safe, and overall a friendly environment. 

the future cglre is continuing to grow & gather more support and tolerance than ever. we hope to change people’s opinions of us and let us simply regress in peace. we hope that we can build a safe and positive community welcoming of every regressor to regress in a safe environment, as it was originally meant to be. 

so why does it matter? just some closing thoughts & notes i made this post because i constantly see people pulling the “cglre is a k!nk because it originally defined itself as a subset of c/gl!” card. they act as if we don’t know our own communities history or that we’re in denial. this is wrong. cglre has acknowledged it’s original definition many times. it’s why we’re so adamant that cglre is not a k!nk and is no longer associated with c/gl. the founder who originally defined cglre as such left the community a long time ago. the original blog is no longer functional and has no posts from when the community was defined that way. there are entirely new moderators for cglre who revamped our community and completely disconnected us from c/gl. 

bringing up the roots of the agere community was important to stress how confusing & dramatic things were back then. people were misinformed and desperately trying to find where they belonged. people were bound to get things wrong and mess up, and you know what, that’s okay. if we never make mistakes we’ll never learn or have any experience in life. the most important part is that cglre is no longer defined that way, is no longer considered a subset of c/gl, and is not associated with c/gl in the slightest. all of our members feel that way. you cannot live in the past and only look at our mistakes and ignore what our community has become today. and most of all, you cannot define a community you’re not part of. cglre proudly stands on it’s own and will not allow other people to wrongfully define it.
