Great Spirit, Thank you for the rising sun, for the breath in my chest and the drumbeat of my heart ... Let this day begin in joy, as bright and bold as turquoise sky across my brow ... May my laughter carry the song of my people ... May my steps honor the earth, each one a blessing to the soil ... each one a prayer of belonging ... Let the red hand on my chest remind me: I carry those who came before me ... their strength is in my bones, their courage in my smile ...
