Muñequita!

Hi my little sweetheart! You’re 18 months old! That’s so big!!! You’re hitting all your milestones and making us all so proud. You find ways to learn and don’t let anything hold you back from what you’ve set your mind to. You stand up for yourself and that’s a trait I hope you’ll always have. You make friends everywhere you go, always so friendly and smiling at everyone. I love you with all my heart Chiquita. You’re just what our little family needed. A little tornado with lots of love, or as brother calls you, stinky butt! Hehe yes, he sniffs your butt to see if you peed or pooped.

At 18 months, you started to pretend to serve food to ñaño and Dada from the play kitchen. Peed in the potty twice and notified me when you pee and poop. Love PJ masks theme song and dance in circles when you hear it. You request for us to play it on Alexa. You also like the Baby shark song and request it in the car. You call it Doo doo. You carry around a little shark stuffy. You love all stuffies and like to cuddle them and kiss them. You hug and kiss our whole family. Love mama and always have your eye on mama. You’re a na na addict. You ask for it all day and night long. You love going out and playing in the mud with ñaño. Dogs are your favorite animal to see when we’re out. And of course you adore Titi and try to pet, kiss and hold her. You also like to mix Titi’s pebbles into her water for her.

Your favorites are water color painting, play dough, singing and dancing, reading Pete the cat and any book by Jane Cabrera. singing the ABC’s and twinkle twinkle little star, baby shark, zoom zoom zoom going to the moon, breaker beach, Jesus loves me, and pj masks. seeing airplanes fly by. Dogs. Cats. Garbage trucks. You love to eat olives, salad, strawberries, blueberries, sopita and cheese.

You also LOVE to swim and you aren’t afraid of jumping into the water.

You chase ducks at the pond, go down slides (on Mama’s lap). Climb up on tables (because you saw ñaño do it). Climb up your high chair to sit down. Puts masks on mama and dada for fun. Bubble time is fun time. Stickers are the best.

My little princesita muñequita, I can’t believe the Lord has blessed us with you.

God bless you always and forever amorcito. Remember, you were made for such a time as this. The world will never provide the happiness you need, only Jesus can. Keep his word hidden in your heart and meditate on it day and night. Call upon the Lord with your struggles, questions or even frustrations. He is there, the Holy Spirit is with you. Trust in Him and listen for his still small voice. Use your boldness and strength to continuously stand up for TRUTH. Not the false truth that this world teaches, but God’s truth! Keep your brother in your prayers, just as I’ve asked him to pray for you. Help each other back up if either of you stumble or fall, encourage each other with the truth of the Lord. Surround yourself with believers and ask them to hold you accountable with any of your struggles.

And don’t forget, your mama and dada are always rooting for you, whether we’re near or far.

My birthday butterfly

Hi chiquitita,

It’s your mama here writing to you on your 1st birthday. As soon as you woke up, me, Dada and Leo went into your room singing happy birthday and holding balloons. You were absolutely thrilled! You deserve this and more baby girl. You are our little princess who we treasure with all of our hearts. I’m sorry I didn’t get to write in your blog every month sweetie, life with two kids has been quite the rollercoaster ride for this mama haha. But trust me, I was enjoying you every second of this first year. You’re so cuddly, loving, silly, funny, courageous, adventurous, smart and just plain lovely.

There is sooo much to say about you, baby. Where do I even begin?

You LOVE going outside. As soon as we open any door to the outside, you crawl to it as fast as your little hands and knees will take you. You get mad and sad if the door closes before you can get there.

Similarly, you have a love for the fridge and dish washer. You crawl to them quickly when they open and love to tinker around with what’s inside of them.

You have major FOMO (fear of missing out). If you hear anybody having fun, you quickly join in with your dinosaur laugh. “Ahh ahh ahh”. You have no problem with staying awake way past your nap time or bedtime. You will eventually get testy but for the most part, you push through with smiles and silliness.

By the way, when bedtime is nearing, you always get super silly. You laugh more, try to play the running game with dada, get silly with brother, etc. and of course your dinosaur laugh comes out “ahh ahh ahh” lol

Up until around month 10 you slept well. You only woke once a night to feed. I could put you down to sleep. Granted you would cry but with a few taps on your butt you’d drift off. But then month 10 rolled around and along with it came your first set of molars. Sleep hasn’t been the same since. Now you demand, absolutely demand that you be nursed to sleep. I know the discomfort of it all is a lot to handle baby girl. So it’s ok. I’ll nurse you, co-sleep with you, wake up at all hours for you until this passes (which it always does, and it passes far too quickly for this mama).

You love to take my phone and push all the buttons. I’ve been locked out of it quite a few times thanks to you. Lol Another item you absolutely love is pretty much any remote that controls the tv. You take it and try to run away if we catch you with it. Lol

Stretchy men (specifically brothers stretchy men) are your fave. Brother isn’t too happy about that and often takes them away from you. Leading to yelling from both sides. So brother got you your very own stretchy woman Minnie Mouse for Christmas which you love.

You won’t nap in strollers or cars anymore. You’ll scream and scream until your face turns purple. Thankfully you still sleep if I carry you in the baby carrier 😅 Helpful for the days when we have to be out and about.

Your favorite animals are dogs. You squeal with excitement when you see Titi (she even got you to take some steps). And if we’re at a park and you see dogs, you crawl to them no matter how big the dogs are. We have to keep a close eye on you lol

You love your grandparents. You smile at them and pull the toward you for attention. You’re just such a sweet pleasure to have around anybody. And you’re okay with me leaving you with them while I go off to do things. It’s probably a second child thing, you’re just very independent.

You feed yourself your meals and will sometimes accept for me to feed you but mostly you turn me away.

You LOVE LOVE LOVE books. You look through all of your shelf books while you potty and you crawl to the book areas while you play. Some of your favorites are If you’re happy and you know it. How loud is a lion. Twinkle little star and Jesus loves me. You open the books and look at me to read them.

You know some baby signs now. You clap your hands to say “more”. If there’s a song you like, you’ll say more when the songs ends so it will play again. You also know “all done, milk, & bye bye”.

You say mama and dada so far.

You clap your hands, climb things, open drawers, pull silks out of the tissue toy box, push balls down the ball dropper toy, push buttons in the button dropper toy, try to strum the guitar, try to draw with crayons and markers. You even try to draw on Leo’s school easel.

You’re unsure about the vacuum. You hang on to me so hard while its on. And you run away from it if it’s coming close.

You love love love baths. As soon as you hear the water running your crawl over and try climbing in!! Haha

You like making your rounds around the house, knocking Leo’s toys down, snacking on little bits of food from us and just having a happy time.

You still take two naps a day, your first one is usually the longest. Sometimes you nap up to 2.5 hours. I usually homeschool brother while you nap because when you’re awake you take over our attention haha

You like music and even dance when it’s on! You always go to the music box I made and point to the picture of the baby and mama. I then ask Alexa to play Canticos Mama Te Quiero. lol

You love the music books. The first one you encountered was the paw patrol music book. You quickly learned how to push the buttons on your own to play the songs.

You love finding little treasures (usually paper, crumbs, or little random objects) and walking around with them while you practice your pincer grasp.

This week you started taking your first steps. It was on the 23rd. And already today on the 29th you’re walking all around 🥹 so proud of you baby girl!!

I still can’t believe I have a little girl. I’m so grateful to God that he has entrusted me and Dada to raise you and Leo. You two are our treasures and we will always love you no matter what. I look forward to this new year together and all of the adventures we will have. I look forward to watching you grow up into a beautiful and intelligent woman of God. I love you baby girl. Chiquita de mi chiquita, vida de mi vida, Amor the mi amor!!

Hi my peshosha!!

You love when I call you that, it brings a huge smile to your face. Chiquita, you’re three months old!! We’ve graduated from the fourth trimester! You’re nice and chunky, you love milk, your little legs kick kick kick. You’re a social butterfly who smiles and chit chats with anyone whose around. You love the toy story towel in the bathroom and smile and grab it while you wait for ñaño to poop. Haha You sleep really well at night and have only recently started waking up a little early for the day (6am 😳). When you see brother your face lights up and you watch him very happily. I bet you’re already learning so much from him! When you see dada you smile and chit chat so much. I can tell you’re becoming a daddy’s girl haha You still get belly aches, some days worse than others. We’ve noticed you especially have them after a day at Disney or out somewhere. Probably because I have to eat out and there are usually dairy products in the food I eat. 😔 Your little naps are short (30 mins max) and I’m working on helping you connect your sleep cycles. You also still don’t like the car seat. You cry a lot in it. Poor baby girl.

Daddy went back to work this past Monday! So it’s been me you and brother at home. I haven’t dared to go in the car with the three of us yet. Maybe tomorrow I’ll gain the courage hehe I did take you two on a stroller walk though, and you enjoyed it.

I love you so much sweetie. You’re my little Angel with a beautiful personality. You’re super cuddly and happy. You brighten up my days. I pray to our Father God that you will love Him with all your heart all the days of your life.

Welcome Home Sleepy Head

Hi my sweet little girl,

We’ve had you home with us for a month now, can you believe it? Everyone was so excited to meet you and were waiting for you in the hospital lobby for me and dada to come down. Can you guess who was the most excited? If you guessed brother, you are correct :) He loves you so much, baby girl. The poor little guy is sick (he has been catching colds since September) and we have to keep telling him to keep his distance and wash his hands. All he wants to do is hold you, kiss you, give you toys, sing to you, talk to you, make sure you’re fed and warm. I pray to our Heavenly Father that the love you two have for each other will grow and continue for the rest of your lives.

Well, the past month has flown by and has been a huge blur (could be due to my sleep deprivation hehe). For the majority of the time, you’ve been sleeping. You’re the sleepiest little thing ever haha My wish seems to have come true, as I prayed for a baby who would get my sleep genes and not dada’s. Haha I can sleep anywhere and anytime. I absolutely love sleep. I’d say it’s one of my hobbies, one that I haven’t gotten to do much of, over the past four years haha Your second favorite thing to do is eat nat nat. You definitely have a good appetite and you’re growing very fast because of it. We can already see that you will be a bolita like brother used to be. Nursing has been a breeze with you. The first week was of course painful on my nipples but then we got the hang of it and your latch has been perfecto! You empty my boobies very well and get some nice long naps in. Now the only issue is that my milk seems to be making you gassy and makes you have silent reflux. I’m going to see if it could be due to my diet. I’ll be cutting out dairy soon to see if it helps at all. Because of the reflux, we have to burp and hold you upright for about 30 mins after you’re done feeding, otherwise you make lots of grunting sounds and get a huge gassy belly which I can imagine must be so painful for you :(

Baby girl, you’re a little adventurer already. At only four weeks old you’ve been to four parks, the snow, the ice skating rink, California adventure, brothers soccer class, and probably some other places I can’t remember (thanks to my sleepy mom brain). I can’t wait to continue taking you on more fun adventures sweetie. You seem to enjoy being out, you get very calm when we have you lay outside and look at the nature all around you. This is a good sign, since both brother and I like being out and about. You’ll fit right in. Oh what about dada, you say? Well, that guy is a 100% homebody, but we drag him out with us too. He fusses a lot, but in the end he’s happy to have participated :)

We all love you so much baby girl. You’re a cutie. You make lots of cute noises. Grunting, squeaking, squealing, crying, sad cries (they make us sad because you sound so desperate), and farts of course :)

Oh by the way, you’ve pooped in your baby potty twice already ;) hehehe

I will try to update your little blog as often as possible, baby Lil (as brother calls you). Until then, I leave you with a wonderful verse from the Bible. (which you will learn a lot about over the years.)

PS. Brother wants you to love Jesus as much as he does, so he gave you his little red baby bracelet with a cross on it. And we will get you your very own Jesus doll soon.

Yesterday we found out you’re a girl! Leo has been saying “baby sister” all along, somehow he knew! Dada and I were so nervous to find out what you are and we’re so glad to know that soon we will meet our baby girl. Leo was so happy when he found out that his guess was correct. He said “I’m having a baby sister! I’m so exciteeeed!” You’re going to love him, he definitely already loves you very much.

We’re a silly and wacky family. We love to play, be goofy, sing many songs, bake yummy treats, have adventures at the beach and tide pool. We read A LOT of books and gives lots of hugs and kisses. We can’t wait to have you join us, baby girl. You will make the perfect addition to our silly family and you will complete us. You’re our little rainbow baby and we’re so thankful to God for bringing you to us. In fact, Leo prayed for you a lot. He specifically prayed that he could have a baby sister and now he prays for God to take care of you as you grow in my belly. I pray that the Lord will be with you as you grow and prepare to enter this world. I pray that you will know and trust in HIM your whole life. That HIS light will shine in you for all to see and that you and your brother will stand up for HIS truth all the days of your life. And I pray that you will always know that HE is with you and will never leave you. You are HIS and nobody can stand against you in this world because HE has already overcome it.

We love you so very much and will be meeting you soon!!!
