Just spent two hours watching organization videos and now my credit card is crying. Found this amazing walkthrough of Ikea's storage solutions and honestly? My craft room is SCREAMING for those clear drawer dividers.
Y'all know my relationship with Ikea is basically a love story at this point. Like every time i swear I'm just going for picture frames but then BAM those Kallax shelves are giving me bedroom storage ideas and suddenly I'm texting my husband about how we definitely need just one more.
Quick story time: Last week i found paintbrushes in my kitchen utensil drawer. PAINTBRUSHES. This is why we can't have nice things and also why those little plastic drawer organizers are literally saving my sanity right now.
Nest part about Ikea storage stuff is how you can mix and match everything. Those little boxes fit inside the bigger boxes that fit inside the shelves and suddenly everything has a home and I'm feeling like a functional adult again.
Brb going to reorganize my entire house. Or at least stare at more storage solutions while pretending to fold laundry.

A MOM'S GUIDE TO ELECTRIC SCOOTER SHOPPING
Okay so who else has spent weeks trying to figure out electric scooters? because wow. My craft room is literally covered in printouts and sticky notes with specs because Tyler will NOT stop begging for one.
Started out googling at 2am while finishing up some custom orders (why do i always craft so late) and honestly most reviews might as well be in another language. Like sorry i don't speak voltage capacity, i just want something that won't break in two weeks.
WHAT I LEARNED FROM LATE NIGHT RESEARCH
Seriously this kid has more persistence than my fabric glue. ended up standing in the yarn aisle at Joann's reading about battery types on my phone while pretending to pick colors for my next project. Thank goodness someone pointed me to aridejunkie because their guide saved me from a complete meltdown.
THE ACTUAL DECISION PART
Took longer to decide than it takes me to organize my bead collection, which is saying something, but tyler hasn't stopped grinning since. Here's what actually matters:
cheap ones are garbage (like dollar store mod podge level bad)
apparently speed control is a thing (thank god)
batteries actually matter a lot
my anxiety medication is still necessary
Currently watching him cruise around the driveway while i sort through my latest fabric haul. Mom life is weird sometimes. Like how did i go from planning holiday wreaths to knowing about torque and brake types.
Anyway back to my spring projects. These pastel ribbons aren't going to organize themselves but wouldn't it be amazing if they did tho!

How an Electric Scooter Gave Me More Time for Crafting
Hello, fellow crafters! I'm so excited to share a little story from my life that might just resonate with you. As a mom who loves DIY projects and crafting, finding time to indulge in my hobbies can be a bit of a juggling act.
Between school runs, after-school activities, and errands, my days often felt like a never-ending car ride. But recently, something amazing happened—I got an electric scooter for my kids, and it’s been a game-changer!
The Chaos Before the Scooter
Let me paint a picture for you. Mornings were a whirlwind of getting the kids ready, breakfast chaos, and then the dreaded carpool. I spent hours driving to school, sports practice, dance classes, and more. By the time I got home, I was exhausted, and my crafting supplies would sit untouched.
Afternoons weren’t any better. Just when I thought I could sit down with my knitting or start a new DIY project, it was time to pick the kids up again. The cycle seemed endless, and my precious crafting time was slipping away.
Enter the Electric Scooter
One day, while lamenting my lack of crafting time to a friend, she suggested getting an electric scooter for the kids. At first, I was skeptical. How could a scooter help me reclaim my time? But I decided to give it a shot, and let me tell you—it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!
The kids were thrilled with the new gadget. They quickly learned how to use it safely, thanks to some initial supervision and a few safety lessons. They started riding the scooter to school and their nearby activities, which took a huge load off my shoulders. Suddenly, I had pockets of free time throughout my day.
Crafting Bliss
With the kids happily scooting around, I found myself with unexpected free time. I could sit down with my sewing machine without interruptions or finally start that intricate cross-stitch pattern I’d been eyeing. The best part? I was less stressed and more energized, making my crafting sessions even more enjoyable.
The Positives
1. Time-Saving: The electric scooter has cut down my chauffeuring time significantly. The kids can get to their destinations quickly and safely, giving me more time to focus on my projects.
2. Exercise and Fun for the Kids: They love the scooter and enjoy the freedom it gives them. Plus, they’re getting fresh air and exercise, which is a win-win.
3. Eco-Friendly: It’s a green choice! The electric scooter produces zero emissions, which makes me feel like a better person. Also my wallet is thankful for the lower gas costs.
Tips for Fellow Crafting Moms
If you’re considering an electric scooter for your family, here are some tips to make the transition smooth and safe:
Safety First: Make sure your kids wear helmets and understand traffic rules. Start with short, supervised rides to build their confidence.
Set Boundaries: Establish clear rules about where and when the scooter can be used. This helps ensure they’re safe and you know their whereabouts.
Enjoy the Time: Use the newfound time for yourself. Whether it’s crafting, reading, or simply relaxing, make sure you use it to recharge.
Conclusion
An electric scooter has not only been a fun addition to our family but also a practical solution that has given me back precious hours in my day. Now, I have more time to dive into my crafting projects, try new DIY ideas, and even share my creations with you all here on Little House of Crafting. Sometimes, the simplest changes can make the biggest difference in our daily lives.
So, if you’re a busy mom like me, consider an electric scooter. It might just be the key to unlocking more time for the things you love.
Happy crafting!

My fastest tips on how to get to school on time.
Heading to school can be very monotone and a somewhat annoying thing to do most mornings, thinking about the subway, bus and other transports most of us have to go through just to get there. Getting there in time can be even harder, especially if you don’t have a car.
There’s a lot of ways of getting to campus and my favorite is definitely not the car, nor any public transportation option available.

Escooters are the future
No, I’ve come to find that scooters can be very reliable commute alternatives. They have both high-speed, low speed, long range, short range, and the price span goes from $100 and up to a couple of thousand dollars. So you know there will be one that fits everyone’s budget.
I would suggest that if you have less than a couple of miles to school or wherever you need to go for that matter, you can go for one of the cheaper alternatives. However, if your commute is above 10 miles you will want to go up a bit in price just to get that extra range a bit more speed, and more comfort. According to Envyride the faster the electric scooter is, the heavier it will be. This is probably because they are filling it with so much power and also you have other things like suspension, seat, and other things to improve comfort. I have now been riding on my electric scooter for about four weeks and I’ve been commuting to school each and every single day. I have also used it to go to the store to buy some groceries and run a couple of errands downtown. It has been more than reliable and it’s easier to get where you need to go fast, especially if you live in a packed city like I do.
So what’s my verdict?
I’d say that electric scooters are probably the best invention I've seen in a very long time. To be able to get so much power, so much speed, and range out of something that weighs about 50 kg is crazy. It makes me think about where we will be in 10 years and what type of Alternative transportation devices we will have then. I bet there will be shareable commuter jet packs that you can take just for a couple of minutes and pay a dollar.

The best college graduate present ever?
So we’ve been looking at presents for our baby boy who’s going to graduate this summer and he really wants something to move around with. So that he easily can visit his friends and go do stuff on his own without having to ask us to drive him. He’s probably not the only one who wishes for such a gift.
He loves spending time with his friends but due to us living far away from them he needs to take the bus, but most of the times he ends up complaining and asking his “private drivers” to drive him. It’s okay most of the time but finding a better solution to this problem would be great. We’ve been looking at an electric scooter which would be great, low costs so he doesn’t have to pay for petrol and easy and safe to use. The only thing is we didn’t really find one with good speed, most of them where to slow so it would take him far too much time getting to where he needs to go. We would like to get a very fast electric scooter so that if it starts to rain he doesn’t have to be outside for too long. Also, it should definitely have a seat, I get the feeling a scooter with a seat is much safer than one without. Don’t know why I think so just feels that way.
So what do you guys think, mostly I am looking for suggestions? As long as it doesn’t cost a fortune and has good speed and most importantly safety.

One Wheel electric skateboard/hoverboard has arrived!
So they finally came! We’ve been waiting for this moment since the prototype launched and it is looking incredible.
This summer www.hoverboard.com is going to release their new hoverboard. The one wheeled board which does move in the same direction as we thought a hoverboard might. But are these things going to be called hoverboards or are those other devices going to be called hoverboards or self-balancing scooters.
Who will know only time will tell. But since they got the name and domain for it we can see it going the way of those “hands free segways” being called self-balancing scooters in the near future.
Hopefully that will be the case at least, if you’re interested in more information about this there are early rip-offs and new brands streaming into Amazon at this moment. We just found them a few days ago but we’ve had no time to update you guys!
Here’s a pic and we will try and get one as soon as possible just to test it out. The prototype we tested last summer wasn’t close to done and I only expect these to be top notch!
