Also, uhm, I love how Steven saved Spinel and himself from the explosion, but the earth suffered NONE after the poison released. It actually looked a bit better,

Anyone else starting to think Spinel could've had another story arc?

I mean, I LOVE her and the Steven Movie, but I thought about another use for her character.

Not everyone on Homeworld is going to agree with the change-it wouldn't make too much sense. Maybe Spinel is left by Pink Diamond over the colony-she thinks change is bad, and now that Steven let's the gems do what they want, Spinel finally snaps.

Like, 'How could you do this? Now these gems can't fufil their purposes! We're useless! We're gonna rot alone!' (Obviously because she 'had no place' with Pink on Earth.

So then she could've used her energy and hype to rally the disagreeing gems and prepare a civil war. Steven slows the execution during the movie, but fails. Kick off season 6 with the rebelion against Steven.

I dunno. An active war doesn't sound like Steven Universe. Nevermind. They did SOOOO well with the movie, I wont give them crap.

Strong people are human too. Remember just because they seem strong doesn't mean they can carry the weight of the world. Strong people still need a shoulder to cry on, they need reassurance when things get stressful. They have times when they feel helpless and scared too, but they're too shy to ask for help because they're expected to be strong all of the time.

Ok so the 'running mascara' kinda look on Spinel, the tears? They shrunk throughout her little healing time.

BUT

Her rubber hose designed had to break stereotypes, so she doesnt have the classic lashes.

So yall, what I'm saying is

The tears are her lashes, and

They S H R U N K .

Steven Universe: The Movie has me choked up.

Spinel's been left forever, hardly even realizing it. It hits her in the face that shes been so easily disregarded.

Steven helps her out, and for a small while she thinks he 'found' her. But he's already content where he was-with his friends-and is busy trying to fix what Spinel caused.

She knows a song cant fix her. She knows there's hard work involved, and she's gonna have to search for the right people to help her love again. (Before the Diamond Trio)

I relate this. I've been left before and have been crushed by the realization. I've put up walls in fear of being left again.

Steven Universe has been helping me a lot. Theres a lot of characters with issues I can relate to, and seeing them get better and how they do reminds me I can do the same. But Spinel, a character a couldn't relate more to, is in the Steven Universe movie. And she knows how to get better. And she SAYS it's not easy. But in the end, she eventually gets a chance at a clean slate.

It gives me hope that I can work towards being open too. That I can also get to healing from rejection and abandonment.

Because sometimes, the people that help you see, cant exactly help you be.

So if I can work on healing, I can recognize who deserves it. And Spinel can. And you can.

All of you deserve love. The pain may slow things down, but its better to be late than waste your time rushing into more painful situations.
