same coin is so good!! i kinda wish it got more appreciation from the fandom in general, it got some great art and discussion but never got really big or well known. it's a well founded theory and makes so much narrative sense too!

yeah i love it! i feel like it’s probably less popular just bc the nature of it is (if you see it in such a way that no characters other than the axolotl could ever be aware of it [like i do]) there.... isn’t a whole lot you can do for content other than metas and symbol heavy art haha

generally the feeling of vague general guilt is like..... relatable to me lol and the reincarnation aspect of the theory makes a lot of ppl initially react negatively bc it Could imply that stan did deserve the shit he went through as a kid/young adult bc of what bill did

which [is] what my initial reaction was too way back when but now i like it bc despite of said general guilt having a source (that, in my personal take on the theory, stan would never be aware of), it was ultimately not deserved bc he is a separate person

and (again, in my personal take on it) i don't think the shit he went through was a punishment for bill (since the axolotl poem it's largely based on talks abt a second chance rather than like.. any sort of suffering), just like.. bad luck/the story in general

AND (this is the main part of why i like it) he STILL is ultimately a loving good person and those traits are what let him ultimately defeat bill/in this case his past life. which (again for vague projection reasons + just like narrative stuff) is IMMENSELY satisfying to me.
