Ylang-Robin C-Support

Finally got around to writing another support for my OC, Ylang !

Sorry it's been a while, but I'm pretty happy with how this support turned out ! This one has a little bit of lore drop on how Ylang became a Pegasus Knight (but I'm planning on giving out the more detailed lore in Gaius' support haha)

Not FE-related, but I started playing Trickster Online again (an old MMO I used to play when I was young) via private server, and I decided to enter the server's fanart contest.

I'm ngl, this is not my proudest work because the deadline was getting really close, so I ended up rushing everything so it feels sloppy to me (and I'm ngl, I was second guessing sharing this ㅠㅠ)

I've been wanting to do a study on Hidari's art style, but halfway through this drawing, I realized I didn't study enough and didn't have time to change my drawing. So it just kind of became a piece that's very roughly inspired by Hidari.

Regardless, I'm proud of the fact I managed to complete it--and it's my first full digital art piece that isn't concept art. But if I had all the time in the world, I would have taken more time to study and take more time with the shading.

I'm unsure if anyone has heard the news about Korea, but I just want to let everyone know I'm safe and okay here. We all knew it wasn't going to pass.

For the average person living their day to day lives, essentially nothing happened. But I admit, it was scary to hear.

Regardless, again, we're okay here and I am safe as well.

I think I mentioned before that I'm actually from Hawai'i and currently live in Korea.

But, I was super lucky enough that I was able to go home last week for summer break at the same time as Pokemon Worlds Honolulu, AND my friend had an extra spot in her reservation !

Funny thing is, I knew Pokemon Worlds was happening back home, but I didn't know I was gonna be home when it was happening LOL.

So here's a little haul/quick flex of what I bought at Pokemon Worlds ! I got the snorkeling Pikachu plush, a bento box, and the free shopping bag with Eevee on it ! I also got a shirt that is unpictured cause I couldn't get a cute shot of it LOL.

I really wanted the hula and 'ukulele Pikachu plush, the Azumarill plush, and the special Pokemon 'ukulele, but they were all sold out when me and my friends got there ㅠㅠ My friend literally got the last Azumarill plush of the day LOL.

Still, I felt super lucky that I was able to be back home when this was all happening anyway !

A parting gift to one of my best friends. I have no idea when I'll ever see you again, or if we ever will.

Introduction to "Ylang"

Super dorky, but I wanted to make one of those videos like how those FETubers make analysis videos haha.

So, here's an introduction to Ylang! Here you can see his growth rates, base stats, max stat modifiers, class set, and even a preview of him in battle !

Ylang-Ricken C-Support

And here's Ylang and Ricken's C-support !

I'm ngl, I think this one has been my favorite so far. Even I made myself laugh from the ending haha.

I actually accidentally made a mistake in the coding at the end where Ricken's last piece of dialogue needs to pause but it goes straight into the sound effect, but I found that it fit so well that I kept it LOL.

Ylang-Vaike C-S Support

Ylang's first full C-to-S support chain !

Again, Vaike originally wasn't supposed to be on Ylang's support list, but I had a really fun idea and decided to go with it.

This was really fun to write, especially cause I've had my share of intense himbo trainers LOL.

Ylang-Maribelle C-Support

Got started on those supports and here's one of the first ones I wrote, with Maribelle! Thanks to everybody that helped beta read this support !

Maribelle wasn't originally going to be on his support list, but I had an idea for their interaction, so I just went with it haha.

Ylang: Crit Quotes

Finally getting around to making recordings of Ylang, my OC for Awakening! And here's his crit quotes.

(I don't wanna say where I got his voice clips from because I don't wanna ruin the illusion that he has a unique voice LOL)

I normally wouldn't post my art unless it's fully finished, but I don't think I'm gonna turn this into a real portrait and I just wanted to share it.

I was theorycrafting a female Fighter or Barbarian character for Awakening and I came up with this OC design haha.

I was thinking of naming her Ke'alohi or Hinano--kinda leaning more towards Ke'alohi (but I got her design inspiration from the Hinano Tahiti logo).

I haven't thought of much backstory for her since I was just playing around with the idea, but maybe I'll get to something LOL

Ylang is finally fully implemented AND fully playable !

From custom models, to custom textures, to customs sprites, to a custom cutscene, all the way down to custom dialogue in the barracks and event tiles, my character is 100% fully playable in-game !

I'm so excited to use him and see him in action 😭

Really, all I have to do now is write his supports and he is 100% complete !

I just realized I never shared all the emotion portraits for my Awakening OC haha.

But, well, here they are !

And the hardest part is done with--I edited the cutscene in chapter 7 so my OC appears and joins !

I'm ngl, this part was probably the most daunting task of this whole project because I've never edited a cutscene before. But I'm so happy with how it turned out, and it was a lot less stressful than I expected haha.

The writing for this scene is still a WIP, I'm not much of writer but I'm definitely gonna need to work on my writing for this project.

Hope you guys like this cutscene tho ! Making this was definitely a step out of my comfort zone.

A quick intro of my Awakening OC -- by putting him in the class roll at the beginning of the game !

I made him show up as a Dark Flier cause that's what I'm making his canon promotion, and that way I can show off his unique texture too !

FINALLY finished my Awakening OC's models and textures !

I had a hard time trying to work out a good palette for him as a Dark Flier, but I ultimately settled on black/rose gold/mauve for his Dark Flier unique texture as his canon promotion.

Also, I gave him a unique mount for story/personal lore reasons, so he'll use a black pegasus as both a Pegasus Knight and a Dark Flier ! I did a slight recoloration to the original Dark Flier texture, so my character's pegasus is a little bit more of a cooler black with a silver mane (the original Dark Flier texture was a little bit more of a dark, warm brown that appears black in-game).

All that's left now are his sprites, and I can finally work on the dialogue and recruitment !
