What is the dumbest thing you have ever done to impress someone? Were they impressed or was it all for naught?

Lloyd hesitates for a moment. “I was going to make, like, a fucking little romantic setup in this one chick’s backyard. I stole wine and a blanket and all that shit. I was fourteen and I had a big crush on her.” He hesitates again. “I thought paper lanterns were like... you used the whole thing. Like, I lit the whole thing on fire. Four of them. They burnt down half of her backyard and almost the house. No one caught me though, I fucking ran away faster than I’ve even tried to run away from the cops ever.” 

Lloyd rubs his eyes with the back of his hand, sighing despite the casualness of his tone. He’s done much stupider things to impress people---killing, assault, the whole fucking shebang, but he remembers that night on top of the collections of his stupidity.

“Never saw her again but I’m pretty sure she wasn’t impressed.”

I think you are loyal to a fault. I think you’d eat shit if I told you to do it. I think you’ve lost yourself in the Red’s calling, and that you need to find yourself again. You’ve needed a purpose, but you’ve never been really been whole have you? Been passed around and kicked your whole life.I also think you are magnificently beautiful. I find your acts of devotion moving and true, the deepest acts of devotion I have ever experienced in any lifetime.
