London today, on the steps of the British Museum. Tired, happy and squinting into the sun. A month ago, this trip we'd been so looking forward to was very close to being cancelled, and I am thankful that I felt well enough to go. What tomorrow will bring is another matter, mind!

MY DAY WAS PRETTY GOOD

Although I am totally knackered now. Shall probably edit this later to explain what's going on a bit better, but my day started with horrible grey clouds, a blood test and a walk through a park where I was stalked by a swan, then got better when I went to the beach, herded old people around, and had a cornetto. It got sunny, too.

Dissertation marks are coming in

and it's really great to see that people are getting good marks. 

It is, however, pretty depressing to see that marks are coming in when I am not going to be handing mine in for another 2 months. Really depressing, actually. 

I know that taking this time was the right thing to do, both for my work and my health, but it hurts a little to know that once again, my plans are being pushed back by my health, and there is nothing I can do about it.

Also happened recently - annoyance at facebook and people on there, procrastination, sleep cycle fucking up again, headaches, too much playing on the DS, missing the boyfriend.

Possible update later? Need to track down some more batteries for the camera.

(for those of you confused by this, B Never was Lush's makeup company that sadly closed last year - Lush are gradually bringing things back though, so fingers crossed for favourites to return!)

FOTD: Pinks and greys

Makeup! That's what this blog-thing was about when I started, after all - the absence of it, certainly, but still makeup. I'm pleased to say that for the most part I have stuck to a minimal look since my no-makeup month, despite a my dalliance with MAC's 'Girl About Town' Amplified lipstick (love it), and yesterday's false lashes for the 60's day (that hardly anyone noticed!)

Today's look is two parts frazzled ballerina, one part milkmaid. No foundation, Bobbi Brown's Corrector in 'Porcelain Bisque' under eyes, MAC's 'Her Own Devices' beauty powder as a blush. Eyes are Benefit's Creaseless Cream in 'Skinny Jeans' with Bobbi Brown's 'Baby Pink' eyeshadow blended into the crease, and my old faithful Clinique 'High Lengths' mascara. Lips were Revlon's Just Bitten lipstain in 'Frenzy' applied lightly this morning - it's wearing off a bit now, but has lasted a good 8/9 hours, so not bad going. I can't quite work out why I am raising my eyebrow like that in the picture, either - it's left me with a rather strange smug/startled look!

Today has been spent PACKING and LISTENING TO SPOTIFY and not doing much else. I move out of halls and away from Bath for good in 5 days now, and have pretty mixed feelings about it all. On one hand, I have loved my time here in Bath, and would not have changed it for the world - I've met some amazing people and had brilliant times, and have really loved the course I've been doing and the tutors in the department. On the other hand, I've had some pretty rubbish times too, thanks to my 'shonky' health (thanks for that one, you know who you are) and family issues. I'll be sad to go, but it's the right time - I feel ready to move back to Dorset and move on to the next part of my life now.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! 230 people at the final day of our exhibition! It chucked it down today, but people still came! So, so proud of all the work that our team have put in - it's been an amazing experience, and I really wish that it could go on for longer.
