Late night concepting a murder drones OC

Basically, the whole premise around them is that, for whatever lore reason (to be decided), they had to replace some parts of their body with Disassembly Drone parts

They are, assumedly, a worker drone. But, in order for their newfound parts to fully connect to their systems, a deeper code awakens in them. The absolute solver. Surprise ! They're a solver infested drone with a DD arm they don't know how to function! And other parts but uh . Y'know .

But, they're really just trying to survive in the world and figure stuff out. They uh ... Haven't figured out the whole needing to drink oil. They really just think their extra urges that have awoken are just side affects of having DD parts.

Anyways here's the concept page for them, and the sketch I'm gonna use as their official basis for their design

They were initially gonna just be a messed up disassembly drone, but surprise surprise i had to make them a special little pretty princess

Also, yes, that is a DD tail. Yes, the solver smacked them with the nanites in their saliva to help them if they accidentally stab themself with their tail.

Honestly, they're probably gonna end up being one of my favorite murder drones OCs. The others that I've tried making before have just felt unoriginal and kind of bland, or like they were one dimensional. I just kinda gave up on designing them. I just am fairly excited to actually make a murder drones OC that actually feels like an OC and not a design.

If anyone's got name suggestions, give them to me. I appreciate it so much. Definitely looking for something gender neutral. Das all though :3

the word empathy is WIDELY misused, even in mental health spaces. 

empathy:

is responding to a person’s emotions by experiencing the same emotion as them (i.e. feeling sad when something sad happens to that person, or happy when something happy happens to that person.)

is an automatic response that cannot be controlled

cannot be learned

sympathy:

is recognizing that another person is in pain, even if you do not experience that pain, and offering comfort to that person

is something a person must actively choose to do

can be learned

compassion:

is showcasing care and support via words and actions

is something a person must actively choose to do

can be learned

if you need an example of a person with no empathy who practices sympathy and compassion, look no further than data from star trek: the next generation. he doesn’t have emotions at all, but he’s still kind to people and wants to help them.

stop telling people that they’re evil because they don’t experience empathy. stop equating empathy with morality. stop equating empathy with caring. stop saying that cruel people “lack empathy.” stop throwing neurodivergent and mentally ill people under the bus.

There should totally be a movement called “Sleep in Public” where people defend their right to sleep on public property. Sleep in your cars. Sleep on benches. Sleep at the park. Just make it a mundane and regular part of life to see someone napping in the library. It would make it much harder to single out the homeless for harassment if everyone else is doing the same thing and much harder to argue that it’s a “threat to public safety” when it’s so clearly harmless.
