Here are some full pics of my Mami Tomoe cosplay! I first tried to make this cosplay at 16 and, obviously, that did not work out. But 10 years later, it was a success! I handmade everything, right down to the petticoat, and even drafted the patterns for cosplay myself! I am so so so proud of how this turned out!

Cool! Hi new followers!
I don’t really post here, but I’m Lochlan/Nessie and I make costumes at a theme park full time, and then cosplay and draw on the side.

Yes I started Dashcon, and yes I have an actual raccoon.
Here is some of my work (that I’m actually allowed to post) below.

I’ve seen that post. I believe it was a misunderstanding on the anon’s part. Here is a post a few down

you probably already know about this but have you seen the tiktok where one of the dashcon organizers directly addresses your video and says she didn't know why you didn't reach out to her for more information because. yeah. hussie flashbacks
hmmm, that's interesting because i did actually reach out to lochlan, or a blog i was pretty sure at the time was lochlan (they answer an ask directly addressing them as lochlan and don't correct it, so i'm assuming?)
the-person-i-assume-to-be-lochlan didn't see my message until after the video went up and so couldn't verify anything i said, but i definitely did reach out- they just didn't get back to me on time

that blog isn’t even pretending to be you. on the first page theres a post they say none of the mods were in any way affiliated with dashcon??? idk how it could be missed
I agree, I saw that too. It makes me very uncomfortable, to be completely honest. I’m rarely on tumblr any more, so I don’t see this stuff unless people tell me.
Here’s a selfie so you know this is my legit blog

No, that is absolutely not me. It makes me very uncomfortable someone would falsely claim to be me. The only way there has ever been to contact me is via my Twitter or Instagram DMs, or with my email that is publicly listed on Twitter and my website.

Princess Power
A She-Ra and the Princess of Power inspired concept line of sensory friendly Children’s Wear, with outfits based off of She-Ra, Bow, Glimmer, Perfuma, and Spinnerella.
Most of you probably know this by now, but for those who don’t, I’m Autistic. Although nowadays I have no shame in talking or joking about my autism, this wasn’t the case for the majority of my life. Something that made my life a living hell for most of my existence were my sensory issues. I still have plenty today, and continue to have problems shopping for clothing, but they are not nearly as bad as they once were. As a child and a young teen, finding clothes that I could wear without having a meltdown was almost impossible. Things were too itchy, too crunchy, too heavy, the list goes on. Tags, seams, elastic. These were just a few of the long list of things that could make me have a meltdown. I would wear the same thing every day (I had multiple garments or colors) as I just wanted to live my life as pain free as possible. But interacting with girls my age who were all so interested in fashion resulted in me feeling terribly left out. I wanted nothing more than to be able to wear stylish jeans or the cute blouses everyone else was wearing.
Although my sensory issues have gotten significantly better, (I mean, look at my cosplays!) I still haven’t forgotten the terrible feeling of isolation or the bullying for not having cute clothes. It was easy to ignore all of the other popular activities my peers were partaking in, as I had no interest in things such as sports or gossip. But I have always loved fashion, so it was incredibly heartbreaking that I couldn’t participate. Designers and companies so often leave disabled individuals out of fashion, or on the rare occasion they do include us, we are always represented by someone who “looks disabled.” I never want children with sensory issues to feel left out, to feel like they can’t be a princess, and can’t stand the fact that they have to wear the same thing every day like I did. All of this inspired me to make this concept line, “Princess Power,” for a class project.
This line was designed with children with sensory processing issues in mind, however, it is not clothing solely made for those who deal with those challenges. This is clothing for every child or tween who wants to wear it. And what better to base my line off of than a show that portrays princesses in so many different, wonderful ways? Sensory friendly clothing has come a long way by entering the mainstream, but it still has a long way to go, and I want to help it get there. My personal favorite detail is the removable appliqués on Bow and Glimmer’s pieces that are reversible sequins. Not only is it fashionable, but it is soooooooo stimmy!!!
Although I won’t be making physical garments do to fears with licensing, here are some notes on the designs:
•No tags
•Minimal seams, and seams in places less likely to cause distress
•loose fitting garments
•sensory friendly fabric such as soft cotton knit and soft chiffon
•glitter effect on fabric without the itchiness
•Removable reversible sequins appliqués on Glimmer and Bow’s outfits. GREAT FOR STIMMING!!!
•No zippers or other fastenings, except for the overalls with snap buttons

Front, side, and back pictures of my Primarina cosplay! This is an original design that had been patterned and constructed by me. Even the resin gems were handmade! The wig was originally styled by my friend Socks, however I had to restyle it myself at the con after TSA destroyed it. The only piece of this cosplay that was not made by me was the petticoat, however, it was dyed to match the chiffon.

I have actually had a few people comment on that. I had never heard of the show until today, but it seems so cute!

As soon as the starters were announced for Pokemon Sun and Moon I fell in love with Popplio! I saw them getting a lot of hate from people on the internet and couldn’t see why, because they were just so cute! The design I decided to go with for Popplio was an original one, because the thing I like most about cosplaying is getting to design something of my own. I based her off of a cute clown and went from there. I generally don’t like clowns, but this was my one exception. This entire cosplay (minus the shoes and gloves) was handmade by me! It took a lot of work, but I am very pleased with the results.
